WOW! What a year and Halloween day and night it will be this year.
I love Halloween. It is the one day we can REALLY get creative, express ourselves, be someone else for a day. I love this day from the decor to the candy and the Trick Or Treaters I adore! I also love spooky movies! How about you?
Fun Fact:
I have had the pleasure of making up the one and only actress Linda Blair from the Exorcist! No, she wasn’t spinning her head and spitting up green and it wasn’t for the movie. It was for an event she was attending. She has an awesome heart ❤️ and Is a lovely woman. I will never forget meeting her!
Unfortunately, it isn’t going to be quite the same this year. I am so missing my clients presence and our party atmosphere at my beauty studio.
I will miss serving them Pretty Witches Brew Punch and bewitching and spooky edible delights.
It was another long holiday weekend and It was time to do something fun! But since we can’t get out like we usually do we have to do things that make us happy at home too.
Since March I have not touched a face. My beauty cottage is open for pickup orders at our door. And we are happily shipping mail orders. I’m doing virtual events and have already begun getting ready for the holiday season. Yes, it’s important to think about that as business owners.
But back to the fun part! I took some time to enjoy giving myself a natural and Gentle exfoliating facial at home. And I made this tropical drink.
Anti-inflammatory,digestive support and refreshing in a smoothie and as a facial on your face!
Pineapples 🍍 rock!
I love naturalbeauty and since our immune systems needs to stay strong in this time of Covid-19. I’m trying to keep my husband and I and family healthy. In my business I usually serve juice shots which are fresh made juice mini serving drinks. One of my all time fave’s is with pineapple.
Here is what I do for my skin. I cleanse the skin and apply slices of the pineapple directly to the skin. I leave it on the skin at least 20 minutes. Next I rinse my skin and follow up with a rosewater skin toner. It is just a gentle exfoliant and a quick fix on the cheap!
Sipping Pineapple 🍍 Tropical 🌴 Smoothie

A dash of honey if you’d like!
Place all of the above in your blender. Blend until it’s creamy and dreamy. Sometimes I add a zest or dash of the juice of a lemon or lime.

Caring IS sharing…and I simply had to share this post since I LOVE to entertain my clients as well as my family and friends. This bloggers post is giving me all the yummy feels. I have done Bloody Mary Shots & Quiche,Cocktails,Cosmetics and Cupcakes events I am inspired to host my next event with foodie inspiration with one of these boards with an a la Noreen twist. Enjoy the view!
Hi, I didn’t have brunch today and I desperately wanted to, so after spending half my morning scrolling through brunch-related hashtags on Instagram, I’m here to bring some brunch board ideas to your attention. What’s a brunch board, you ask? It’s more or less a platter of heaven—aka, a charcuterie-board-like spread of breakfast foods. Seriously, what…
In your home or in your business you can celebrate the Lunar New Year too. It starts now and is a 15 day celebration. As I mentioned before I am an all American girl who just happens to be Polish and Chinese. What fun! I eat Polish kielbasa sausage and devour juicy dumplings too! I love celebrating Chinese New Year in NYC’s Chinatown. Have you ever been? The lion dance and all the other rituals and food are wonderful. The sweet treats are fabulous too.
You can bring a piece of the Asian pie so to speak by bringing in some Asian lanterns. Red is a powerful color and brings in good luck. Gold symbolizies money and and of course jade is good health and good luck. Decorate your business with any of these hues and bring in some exotic decor too.
We serve hot tea and have customized fortune cookies with our own messages inside. Or you can buy them by the box at Asian grocery stores.
Do a promotion with any Asian inspired or ingredients skin care and or body or fragrance. It is nice to have an ethnic twist. Give your clients a discount to get them to explore and shop. Your clients will notice and your cash register will ring more too.
I recently learned that not all Asians celebrate the lunar new year. In China it is not only a national holiday for days… Chinese New year is celebrated for 15 glorious days. Vietnamese have their own kind fun and festivals. S Koreans have a 3 day celebration. Lastly the Japanese revere January 1st as a very special day.
So bring it… in your business this year. You still have time to join in on the festive fun.
Gong Hei Fat Choy is Cantonese for Happy New Year…it translates into “Wishing you great happiness and prosperity.”
Before watermelon 🍉 season says “Goodbye” I felt like whipping up an old recipe I have so enjoyed year after year during the watermelon season or in my travels.
It is not only refreshingon the skin it also makes me glow from within (and pee alot) 😄
Mix or Puree this pretty potion and place in a glass bottle. Place in the refrigerator for an hour or even overnight.
Apply to clean face with a flat cotton (puffy ones are OK too! Watermelons applied topically are quite hydrating and are trending in the world of skin care today.
Chill out with a watermelon cocktail, watermelon salad with arugula, feta and add a little bit of mint. If you own a spa or salon your clients will love it too. Hydrating to the skin and body as well as thirst quenching.
I love to engage and entertain my clients and I like to also do it with food. These energy bites are just the thing and the recipe ingredients boosts with fiber too. A friend of mine who is a guest Chef on TV Danette shared this oh so easy recipe with me. I hope you enjoy it too.
1 1/4 cups raw almonds
1 /14 cups dates (pitted)
1 Tbsp honey ( maybe a bit more)
Pinch of salt
Grind almonds and dates in food processor until fine ( a little coarse is ok, too) add honey and salt.
Process until well combined. …it should be sticky enough to form a ball.
Press down in a 8×8 pan lined with foil. Make sure to press down hard, so it really holds together. Let sit approx 1 hour. Pull foil out of pan, and cut into squares.
If it needs more honey to stick together, that is fine. You could use more dates in beginning if you like.
Enjoy for yourself between services with your clients, serving to your clients, family or friends. YUM!
