Pack those bags!

Tea bags a natural quick fix!

People often complain to me about their eye 👁 bags. You know bags or baggage 🧳 under the eyes, puffy eyes, tired eyes.

So, besides using an eye product on a store shelf, another quick rescue is a tea 🍵 bag. Brewed tea bags work magic under the eyes. Squeeze the tea bag gently and place the almost room temperature tea bag on closed eyes. Not caffeine free. I love to use a green tea. Leave on under the eyes at least 12-15 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

If that doesn’t float your boat, there is always the “tried and true” fresh 🥒 cucumber! Cucumber slices really cool the skin down and help de-puff too.

Did you know potatoes 🥔 can assist with bags under the eyes and eyelids too?

Yes, a thin slice on each lid closed ( and top lid too) can have the same rescue too.

And of course there is always a bag of frozen peas and or frozen mixed veggies will do good and work too!

My clients love my recommendations that are easy to do and fresh from a tea farm and Mother Nature too! 🍃

Enjoy!

Have you got a beauty or skin care remedy you’d like to share with me too? Do tell.

Foot 🦶 Facial at home!

I love helping my clients look and feel amazing! So, since a few of you have asked for another recipe for the feet… here goes!

Best of all it is a UNISEX treat!

All you have to do is put all these ingredients together and head to your bathroom or a cozy chair, the bathtub or an area you can get a little messy in until you rinse it away.

1/4 cup of oatmeal

1/4 cup of cornmeal

3 tablespoons of grape seed or sunflower 🌻 oil

2 tablespoons of Himalayan sea salt or brown sugar

Stir all of the above together. If it is too thick you can water it down with a few sprinkles of water 💦. Stir again.

Apply and rub mixture gently on clean feet. I like to go up to the ankles too. Pay attention to the heels as well.

Allow this DIY treat to set and be on the feet at least 15 minutes.

Rinse with lukewarm and wet towels or larger wash cloth.

The oatmeal softens, the oil gives you enough slip to move around the foot and lower part of the legs, corneal and salt exfoliate. Your feet and ankles will be nourished, hydrated and softer. It’s Self-Care Sunday!

Let’s try and make every day a self-care day. But if you can’t at least do one or two fabulous things for yourself on one day.

Face Fitness

Are you taking better care of your skin in the pandemic? Or have you fallen into a lazy no skin care and no makeup routine?

Makeup Free Faces

As a make-up artist and skin therapist I never stopped! I know many of my clients have chosen to opt out of most makeup and their skin care “go to” is mainly moisturizer.

I have so enjoyed… , playing, testing, spraying, sniffing and editing my beauty and skincare products even in the pandemic. I also have calmed down on using foundation or tinted moisturizer I still use them but softer lighter and fresher in application especially behind a face mask.

And I have also discovered a new way to take care of myself! I have fallen hard for Face Fitness an exercise book for your face and so much more! The cover reads “Simple Exercise and Rituals for Toned, Glowing Skin”

Written by an esthetician and health enthusiast Patricia San Pedro. She obviously practices what she preaches even with a few children and a business. She looks fabulous!

A Must Have for Your Book Shelf!

I am still reading and test driving the exercises. So far I love the Lip 👄Cardio Exercise.

This exercise gives the lips 👄 a natural lift! especially if your lips sides go down. You know if you frown or have tension in your mouth area. Sometimes it’s your bite that’s not right. No matter what your issue is. This lip cardio exercise is for you. Feels good too.

*Another favorite of mine is the Neck Cardio.

*And the Forehead Glow Flow.

I’m still practicing and trying to get the hang of how to do these exercises but I’m ALL in!

If you want happy healthier glowing toned skin? This book just might be what you need.

Not fillers, Botox, using filters. Start an exercise regime for your skin.

Tan,Brown,or Black Girls and the SUN

As a beauty professional living in sunny 🌞 Florida I want to  remind you if you’ve got dark skin you may be tempted to skip the sunscreen. But please don’t!

Brown, tan or black girls get sunburn too You can still develop skin cancer as UV rays can give you a sunburn, saggy skin, premature wrinkles and dark spots.

Also did you know you can get skin cancer on your scalp too? Stay protected.

For a beautiful even toned complexion you need to wear a sunscreen!

SPF 15 or higher and with UVA and UVB protection no matter what shade of brown you are. And no matter where you are at an outside cafe or on the beach. Wear it and a lip balm too.
