I fall in love 🧡 with this season every year. It doesn’t get old. I love the feel, scents and the weather. It is like the earth 🌎 is exfoliating the past season and getting us ready for winter in more ways than one.

This fall for makeup and fashion it is all about cinnamon and brown earthy hued eye shadow and lipsticks.

Discover some new PINK hues too! There are so many shades to choose from. Celebrities are rocking Barbie Pink and on the fashion show runways. Pink is always a good idea. It brightens the teeth and complexion.

Update your style if it has been awhile. Let’s enjoy all the beauty, scents and sounds the season has to offer.

Hello Summer!

It’s glow time the start of the summer season is the best time of the year! We get to enjoy longer days, sunshine and more! You also get to go shopping 🛍 for a few new things like a new bathing suit, sun hat, pretty sandals and fun or sexy sunnies.

Buy one or two new bikinis 👙 or swim suits!

Buy a hat to protect those locks and your face!

It’s also the time to start to get your glow on! You know a little bronzer and shimmer go a long way.

But first you must exfoliate your face and body. There are many options to choose from for your skin.

I’m in love with a bottle of CURE Natural Aqua Gel from Japan. (available on Amazon) it exfoliates gently and really makes the skin feel great and products to penetrate and work better on your skin!

This is my bottle at home. I’m about to use it to get ready for a guest speaking engagement. Gotta look my best. I have sensitive skin and have no issues with it. It works wonders!

Dry brushing your body is a must! I like to use both methods. Bye bye dull dry skin!

Brush your body! Don’t use these on your face! Be gentle with that skin you’re in!

Just got back from Chicago!

TWO of the hottest shows were there…and I worked, I played,dined and explored!

Even though I travel to Chicago often o NEVER get tired of it. So much to enjoy, eat and do!

Here’s what I found at the International Esthetics Cosmetics and SPA conference and AMERICAS’ Beauty Show in Chicago this year:

Makeup is a little different …no cake face! No buffet of makeup on the face on a daily basis.

Self-care continues to be in the forefront of beauty and skincare!

It was all about Lashes for days! So many lashes and lash extension classes now more than ever. Faux Lashes and lash extensions don’t seem to be going away.

Vajacials are STILL trending.

Anal bleaching….yes it is a thing. Brghtenup wowed the crowd.

Teeth are getting some bling with …Tooth Kandy! They dazzled on the show floor.

Men’s grooming is HOTTER than ever.

Now that everybody seems to be getting Tattoos aftercare skin care is big business.

HAIR CARE is becoming more clean, green and anti-aging too. Appliances and tools are on fire.

I also discovered some yummy places to eat. One was the infamous Gibsons of Chicago. It reminded me of old Hollywood restaurants. The service was divine and the the food was too. If you are ever in the Rosemont area attending a show at that convention center or have business near by…You must try the Garbage Salad.

I had to stop yet again by the infamous Garetts popcorn for their caramel & cheese mixed popcorn. OMG so decadent. Your lips will not be able to resist.

The micro breweries are still poppin everywhere and the bar and brewery called Short Fuse Brewing Company had a great vibe and made many beers on site.

SHOPPING downtown Chicago and the Magnificent Mile are awesome.

My favorite store downtown is AKIRA.

But I fell in love with the FASHION Outlets of Chicago in Rosemont. There was Bloomingdales, Steve Madden, Nordstrom Rack and more.

Did I forget to mention Versace? The line to get into the the VERSACE store was enormous. I didn’t have time to wait. I wanted to buy a pair of Steve Madden shoes I saw in the window but the long line red rope and door assistant were NOT moving. I tried!

Shoppers,shopper and more shoppers. All got in my way.

I’m so crushed!

I went shopping to some of my favorite stores this week and one store in particular I so adore. I saw something I had to WARN YOU ABOUT. The beauty department was filled with women and girls going crazy over all the new product and beauty tool additions. They were shopping like they mean it! On the hunt.

BUT their hands were touching all over the bottles, potions and fragrance. No pandemic here! Everyone so close near each other. No safe social distancing a bit here!

Women were trying on, testing and sniffing like there was no tomorrow! Contaminating all around them without a care.

From soaps, to serums, to hand and body lotions and essential oils. Opening boxes and noses PRESSED to the actual soap bars and top of the product jars. No staff around not one stopped them. I’m sure the store was a made house so they might have missed these women doing this but even if the store was not during the holiday season that anyone would say anything to them!

This store is a discount store there are NO Testers. It’s not Nordstrom, Macy’s or Bloomingdales.

I hated to see this happen. After the women decided the scent, the soap bar or skincare wasn’t for them they threw it back. Not placed. Actually threw it back on the shelf.

I felt for all the people who might select these very products and give them as gifts AFTER these handful of women put there nose 👃 inside and touched or squirted product on their hands.

I would never ever allow that to happen in my studio. My guests who shop here would never even think to do this!

So just a word of advice.. please make note and BEWARE and be aware! Think about where you buy your beauty, fragrance products and beauty gifts.

Been lost in the Holidaze!

Tis the season. That is why I have not been blogging much lately. My days are long. My business has started to show signs of festive shopping and people coming out more like it used to be. It has not been easy for business owners this year. We are still hurting. The beauty and spa business even more. Face Masks 😷 have made clients lazy and more relaxed in their skin care. Foundation,blush and 💄lipsticks! But now I find people are trying to get into the reason for the season and all the magic!! People are tired and restless…how about you ? Do you see this out your way to?

I love helping my clients shop for loved ones and discover all the treasures I have to offer! I also love ❤️ helping them look good and feel fabulous too! When they shop I encourage them to treat themselves 🎁 to something too!

Still offering curbside pickup and doing whatever it takes to serve them! As well as of course we ship beauty boxes 📦 to their door.

My business is my clients HAPPY place!

Leave their worries at the door, no racism, no Karen’s, no judging just love and fun! Their faces tell me they enjoy shopping here and all the eye candy on my shelves and tabletops. The pretty displays, my sense of humor signs like “Shoplifters will be beaten to death” and the variety of merchandise I buy especially this time of year and filled to the brim! From makeup, to makeup brushes, skincare,earrings,rings,necklaces and bracelets.

Naughty is my state of mind! I love to make my clients laugh. So I served them several drinks…Naughty Elf punch was a big hit and they enjoyed a luxurious box of chocolates.

So bear with me. I’ll be back!

Exhausted …Did you shop till you dropped?

After the long Thanksgiving weekend it’s time to relax. Give yourself a soothing foot 🦶 bath for legs and feet! I worked away in my studio helping clients pick out the perfect gift 🎁 and reminded them to not forget themselves too.

I can tell. My feet and legs are exhausted. So. When time allows. Maybe you want to do this.

What you will need for this recipe:

6 Green tea bags

1 thick slice of fresh ginger peeled

2 drops of peppermint oil

A pot of water 💦 boiled.

Add the above ingredients into the pot. Like you’re making pasta but you’re not.

Let the ingredients mesh and dance together in the pot. Allow the water to cool a bit.

Place in a foot basin. Soak your feet and take a hand towel and dip it into the mixture. Wrap around the legs for about three minutes as well.9

The ginger adds some aromatic heat, the peppermint oil is very relaxing and invigorating at the same time. The green tea soothes tired skin. Do this at least 15mins. Or when water is cool.

Afterwards. Rinse. apply your favorite body lotion on your legs and feet. Rest your cares away. Get cozy in bed.

I love ❤️ to treat myself or my husband to this treat for the feet.

This movement was started by American Express and to shine a light and spread some LOVE to all small businesses in our communities where we live and while we travel for the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.

IF you never heard of it…now you have. AND if you own a business it is not too late to get it together and do something and celebrate with US (other business owners) too! My glam team of elves have dressed our shelves and it is going to be an awesome day. I just feel it.

From shops online or in a local brick and or pop up shop!

Many stores will have specials and gifts galore. FEEL GOOD to shop small businesses too. And while you are at it. Why not STAND TALL and Eat Small,Sip Small think big by shopping small in your community. Today is the day!

A moment in time…

How time flies going through a global pandemic. First you soak in the information you are told. It is hard to even believe what is happening. The days go by very slowly and seem so surreal. Oh the newness of it all. The new normal. Our stay in place at home becomes your way of life. We have even forgotten the day of the week.

The sun 🌞 still shines,the rain ☔️ still comes down and the birds 🐦 are happily singing away. Spring 🌺 has finally arrived for most of us and life keeps growing and going.

But somehow you know things are different now. While I do have my husband to keep me company in quarantine I do not have any children. But …I do have babies! They sit waiting for me in my business. My charming beauty cottage nestled on a quiet street in a neighborhood of homes and business offices.

My babies are the beauties on my shelves. Pretty things that make you look good,smell good and feel fabulous.

I have days at my studio to organize things, rearrange, answer telephone ☎️ calls and emails and to stock up on our shelves,pack up mail orders 📦 and to above all clean and disinfect even more for this COVID-19.

It is definitely a NEW world and is a different normal right now. In this moment and time we are truly all one! beautiful birthday blur bouquet

I worked so hard for what I have achieved and have come a long way. I am sure if you own a business or have and are devoted to a career you know what this feels like too.

I HOPE and pray my clients come back to shop and get dolled up with me. I yearn to pamper skin and paint faces. How about you? How’s your business life? Are you even able to open in your state?

But it will be different and with face coverings,masks and not my usual things. I so enjoyed serving blooming 🍵tea,gourmet coffee and something edible. Sweets or fresh fruit and veggies. But now…not sure. I loved hosting fun and yummy shopping 🛍 events. But for now none will be held. My lipstick red doors are closed. I am not officially open and am just shipping orders.
