Lime,Sugar and Coconut!

I feel like TRAVELING and enjoying life again… I want to go on a cruise! But since we can’t quite do that yet I thought I’d do the next best thing. Make a tropical hand and foot scrub.

Since I LOVE my clients. I am sharing this recipe with them and giving them some mini sample jars of this lovely scrub too.

If you own a business do you love to share recipes and beauty tips with your clients too?

Here is a simple recipe that is so easy to make yet gently exfoliates, brightens the skin and makes the skin so silky!

After all it is sandal season again.

1/2 cup of brown sugar (sometimes I add a few rolled oats for visual fun)

1 mason or jam jar

I LOVE the way this feels on the skin and my heels will look amazing too.

It even refreshes a pedicure and manicure too. Give your hands and feet some love ❀️. Guys will love it too!

Simply apply a scoop of this tropical 🌴 delight on your freshly washed hands and rub in. Go in circular motions. Then rinse with a wet and warm hand towel after leaving on at least 10 minutes.

Next apply to your feet and repeat.

I find this scrub lasts at least a week. I put it in the fridge. I pull out of the fridge and allow it to warm with the room temperature. Feels so cool and refreshing when you apply it. Especially on a hot summer 🌞 day.

Your skin will glow and the natural ingredients make it even better!

Our Bodies Need Some LOVE!

At times like these we need to take care of our immune system and body too. Since it is summer and we shed our clothes and show more skin we need to also slough off dead skin cells. As well as hydrate the skin on our face and body too. One of my clients shared this recipe with me a long time ago. And I recently discovered it in my pandemic cleaning purge of some paper work etc.

I almost forgot how much I like this recipe alongside eating a bowl of oats or granola with home-made yogurt and fruit in season. To make home-made from scratch yogurt I use Belle + Bella. They have an amazing starter packet and unit to make it. It is fun and when i have leftovers (right) instead of licking the spoon I use the fresh yogurt on my face for a gentle neck and face mask.

What you will need for this hand or body recipe:

1 cup of olive oil

1/2 cup of ground up organic oats

1 tbs. vanilla

1 tablespoon of maple syrup

She stirsΒ  in all ingredients and suggests you take some time in the tub.

Place a handful of the mix onto your body. She recommends paying close attention to rough areas like, elbows, knees, hands and feet. Allow the scrub to rest on your skin. Next she recommends rubbing with warm water and a washcloth or a loofah sponge.

Rinse well.

After you get out of the tub. Dry your skin slightly and while damp apply your favorite hand and body lotion.

Your skin will feel soft and fresh you’ll feel brand new!

Pumpkin Pretty D.I.Y.

An you feel the almost arrival of fall?

My husband says “I kiss better than I cook” 😁 But I so enjoy entertaining, cooking and makeup! I also love this time of year and all the decor and recipes to celebrate fall.

Today I went to the store and discovered a potpourri of pumpkins πŸŽƒ and more.

So to celebrate 🎊 this time of year here is a recipe to do for YOU and or on your clients too! You’ll be tempted to eat it but don’t. The room will smell divine while and after making this facial treat.

Pretty Pumpkin Pie πŸŽƒ facial mask

What you will need:

1 can of pumpkin pie filling

1 teaspoon of honey

1 sprinkle of nutmeg

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Stir in all of the above in a bowl. What you will have is a creamy and dreamy gentle natural exfoliation mask. No harsh chemicals. I find even my clients with sensitive skin love to use this and have no issues.

You may use fresh pumpkin but I love using the can in a pinch!

*But please do a patch test on the inside of your arm near your wrist or a section of your face to see if you have a slight reaction. If you have allergies to these ingredients don’t use this D.I.Y.

I like to leave this on at least 10 minutes. Rinse with luke warm water and a washcloth. Afterwards use your facial toner and moisturizer.

Place remains in a small jam or condiments jar you recycled and you can use it again in a few days.

Sip a cold glass of fresh apple 🍎 cider and you’ll make the day even more delicious.

Enjoy!
