How’s Life?

It seems as though we not only had quite a year in 2020 but we also are having quite a different 2021 than we planned. I think some people think that once the calendar changed to a sparkling new year filled with everything we hope for or want…our pandemic and daily lives would magically change kind of overnight. But it hasn’t really. The world ๐ŸŒŽ is still sick and people are feeling all kinds of emotions and feelings too. Me included.

I am really sad so many people are dying. BUT I am thrilled there is a vaccine and boy was that a miracle to come in the same year of the pandemic! We are so lucky!

And in these challenging times what I have come to realize is EVERY single day and minute in our lives is a GIFT. It is not just a nice thing to say. It is TRUE! If you’re reading my blog right now you MADE IT and you’re still here and alive.

So, at this time my heart is filled with GRATITUDE and I look to the light and have so much hope. If you are feeling blue you can do this too. Keep going. Stay positive. Keep the faith. We have got to live our lives not die inside.

Here are a few things that give me some happiness and I want to share them with you today. Maybe they will help you in some way.

Surround yourself with people you โค๏ธlove. Extend your safe bubble of people by reaching out and calling to others. Reconnecting and chat on the phone with them. I’ve done it and it made me and the other people Iโ€™m calling feel so good too. People need to connect and stay connected.

Write a letter or create a card from scratch and mail it or hand it to someone you care about. Tell them they are loved. Share your day. See how they are.

I think every day should feel like Valentines day.

Fill your space with things to make you feel HAPPY or put a smile on your face. Check around your home and see what you might have before you go out shopping for something. I recently discovered something while cleaning my dining room hidden in a drawer under some cloth napkins. I ordered some gold flatware. I completely forgot about them. They are so gorgeous and chic. Why haven’t I used them in years? I shined them up and am putting them to use and enjoying these beauties. DAILY.

Strategically fill your space home or office with affirmations and words of wisdom. On your wall, on your desk, on a shelf at your bedside table.

Don’t you feel good looking at this already?

It would be great on a child or teens home classroom desk too for encouragement! Don’t you think so?

Make your bathroom an oasis to escape to. Shower or bath? You’ll love the little touches will make.

SOAK your cares away! A bath is always a good idea! Or add a little something to your shower routine. Like a shower bath bomb. Or some new hair & body products.

Fill your bathroom with luxurious hydrating soaps. Nowadays there are so much to choose from. I like to buy soaps in all my travels. Especially internationally. So fun. Find some plush towels and washcloths. Switch up that same old decor. Give your bathroom a lift and hang a sign that you can find like โ€œHello Beautifulโ€. OR โ€œItโ€™s a Good Day to have a good dayโ€.

When life gives you lots of ๐Ÿ‹ lemons…

My husband bought me not one but two lemon trees ๐ŸŒณ a few months ago. I am enjoying my life with lemons so much! One tree is outside my business door and another is in my backyard.

So, I get creative and make things!

I usually kill plants cause I work so much in and out of town. But I am on a roll with aloe plants and lemon trees. They are not only surviving they are thriving!!!food healthy nature water

One of the things I have made is a Lemon Facial Toner.

If you want to make some for yourself or your clients here is a recipe.

What you will need is:

2 fresh lemons (lemon peels only)

1 cup of  bottled water

Place lemon peels in a pitcher. I prefer using a small glass one.

Add the water.

Cover and leave this mixture alone for at least 10 hours or overnight.

Strain the liquid through a coffee filter and pour into a clean and sterilized bottle. This refreshing toner will last up to two weeks.

Apply to your face with a flat cotton pad round.

Don’t use on acne or rosacea. Just to be on the age side.

Next up…Sparkling lemon water!

You don’t need to buy the lemon flavored sparkling water. You simply need sparkling water ๐Ÿ’ฆ that you added lemon ๐Ÿ‹ slices too! So delightful and really quenches the thirst.

Serve in a wine goblet or antique shop glassware. Feel like royalty. My clients and family love this! And a fresh mint ๐Ÿƒ leaf for decor.

Lemons are so detoxifying and great for your health.

Hot Tea with a lemon wedge

Nothing like hot tea ๐Ÿต with ๐Ÿ‹.

Now, traditionally I’m not talking Asian tea. I’m talking. Regular tea. And always served in a pretty cup.

Who doesn’t love ๐Ÿ’• to hear the sound of the saucer and cup clinking? Music ๐ŸŽถ to my ears! And makes people feel so special while sipping away.

I hope you enjoy ๐Ÿ˜Š and add some lemons ๐Ÿ‹ to your day!

Energizing scents!

Today I had to be on TV and was sleepless in Seattle and woke up very early. I also had to go to my makeup and skin studio and worked all day. In the middle of the afternoon I needed a lift between clients. I was tired. I’m never tired! So, instead of reaching out for coffee I did this. If you need a lift over the holiday season at work or at play…TRY THIS!

ย Looking for a boost of plant energy during a hectic day at work? OR at home ๐Ÿกafter holiday shopping?

Look to Mother Nature!

Try rubbing some basil leaves together. Orย  fresh peppermint leaves work as well. The aromatic scents will refresh your spirit. I keep a variety of plants and one of each of these at my business door and in my beauty kitchen. Ready for cooking, ice tea or aromatherapy.

Not all aromatherapy has to come from a bottle of essential oil.

Enjoy!
