Friday Night IN

Times are not the same. Many of us are on lock down and staying in to keep our world safe and to heal better soon. I MISS date night and spending time with our BFF’S and family. I have NOT seen my family in over a year. It is getting old.

I miss everything we used to enjoy! Don’t you?

So it is only natural we look for things we can do when we are in. I have been doing one D.I.Y. beauty ritual every Friday in the new year so far! I hope you’ll put something together for your face, body and dinner tomorrow night. A recipe for food plus some self care fun. Your sweetie might want to get in on the action too. Guys want to look good too.

I love to share these DIY beauty recipes and ideas with my clients at my makeup studio and they are loving ❤️ to do them too.

Here is what you will need to make this natural mask at home:

2 Tablespoons Raw organic Honey

1 Ripe avocado

1/4 Cup uncooked oatmeal

Mix all of the above together. Apply a bit more than a thin layer to your face, neck and chest. Let it sit on your face and you rest on a bed in place. Listen to your fave music or TV show. Leave on at least 15 minutes.

Wipe your face of the mask and wash with a warm washcloth.

Refresh with a facial toner on a cotton round.

Add eye cream and face and body cream or lotion.

If you have a little fresh avocado leftover. Use the rest and massage it on and comb some on your hair. It will need to be washed but will hydrate this dry ends!

Farmer’s Market BEAUTY

Oh how I love to go to the Farmer’s Market and spread my shopping LOVE.

I also love the crunch and goodness of an apple. I like the green apples. But red are delicious too.You know what they say “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.”

I even scoop up and eat the rest of the apple left from making this mask.

Here is a recipe a client shared with me for a mask I have enjoyed for years. I like to use it on the face and neck especially around this time of apple picking year.

What you need to Make DIY this face mask:

1 fresh apple grated or pureed

2 Tbsp of crushed oats

1 Tsp of organic honey

Put all the above in a small bowl. Apply it to a clean face with clean hands or a facial mask brush. It may be a little messy for you. But so worth it. If you want to make it more moist add some bottled (not tap) water for a creamier consistency.

Leave this recipe mix on the face at least 15 minutes.

Beauty benefits include a gentle exfoliation while the apple and honey leave the skin hydrated, plump and glowing.

Please note: IF you are allergic to any of these ingredients do not use the ingredient you might be allergic to.

This natural face mask is great for normal to combination skin.

Enjoy!
