Time To Celebrate!πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’„

This is one of my absolute favorite days of the year!

It is National Lipstick day!

Photo by Rodolfo Clix on Pexels.com

What color are you wearing today? Are you a lipstick girl or a glossy liquid lipstick girl?

I truly believe and my signature mantra is: β€œ A day without lipstick is like a day without sunshine”

What’s hot in the world of lipstick πŸ’„πŸ’‹?

πŸ’‹Lipstick in general from soft to bold hues. Women are starting to pull out those lipstick tubes! Lip stains rule!

πŸ’‹Lip conditioners and lip balms are HOT!! These face masks are making our lips dry as ever.

πŸ’‹ Lip masks are HOT too! From Korea, Hong Kong and now made in the USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ these masks are little miracle workers.

πŸ’‹ The dark trimmed lip liner is out. Invisible or Nearly Nude are IN!

πŸ’‹ Lip Exfoliators are a skin care necessity!

πŸ’‹ if you vape or smoke cigarettes 🚬 maybe you want to give that a rest and rethink it. If you want your lips to look prettier and more youthful and kissable. You need to do the right thing. Each puff makes you wrinkle more! Day after day! Really!

πŸ’‹ Wearing sunscreen on your face is a must. Also… pay particular attention to and protect the tissue on the upper lip area and chin from 🌞 sunburn and wrinkling!

πŸ’‹ Honey 🍯 is a delicious and cheap lip treatment. It can be used on the lips only or all over the face!!

πŸ’‹Lip brushes make your lipstick look better and your tube last longer. It is a makeup artists fave brush.

Do you have a passion for lipstick like I do? Share with me. I’d love ❀️ to know your go to. Fave color and why you love lipstick?

Have a fabulous National Lipstick Day! πŸ’„πŸ’‹

All the beautiful people and new products were in Las Vegas!

We beauty professionals and speakers have been waiting for over a year and half to reconnect with each other, educate and see what’s trending and new! The show did go on and I could not be BE ANY HAPPIER!

πŸ‘„

The International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa Conference was wonderful! My class went well. I was thrilled with all the beautiful faces looking to learn all I had to share with them too!

Yes, there was social distancing but we did not have to wear a face mask 😷 while educating. The show attendees had the option if vaccinated they did not have to wear a mask. There were sanitation stations and there was mindful social distancing. Attendance was UP considering what we have been through. Lines to shop πŸ› were long but worth the wait. I can’t believe the crowds of beauty PROS and spa and salon owners so many happy faces.

It was wonderful to be out and about and to TRAVEL on an airplane again. Seeing lots of people was great and Delta Airlines took good care of me! Chatting with strangers and and seeing SMILING FACES without face covers and masks was beyond joyous.

It was HOT and steamy in beautiful Las Vegas and I got a chance to work and play!!! One day it was actually 116 degrees.

Networking at it’s finest! Like a GIANT COCKTAIL PARTY! The IECSC show even treated us to a cocktail 🍸 or other libations to toast and welcome us back!

Here is a list of what I discovered on that’s Trending and NEW! Some I predicted and knew but some trends I saw on the show floor.

Skin care is HOT! It is even more in than makeup! We got to see the latest in action with LIVE demos on the show floor.

Facial embellishments were a thing and step aside tattoos and piercings. Pearls, colorful stencils, flowers and bold eye designs.

Wellness is a MUST in our lives. We must take better care of ourselves!

Self care is the best care!

β€œCaked on” made up faces are NOT happening. Makeup is heading softer and pretty is back.

Softer prettier makeup is the look now.

Brows and lashes are cared for with serums of gold. Brow laminations are hot.

Lash Lifts are still in.

False Lashes depending on who you speak to are out but faux lash companies are still selling. All kinds of lashes and COLORS!

OVER done and over the top contouring is OUT!

Lip plumpers are still coveted alongside a gorgeous lipgloss or πŸ’„ lipstick.

To plump or not to plump?

Shimmery GLOWY skin is still with us.

Dermaplaning is still hot!

Concealing the entire face with concealer, highlighters and foundation is not in.

Tinted shampoos in all colors too!

Root Powder coverups in all HUES!

HAIR YOU WEAR and take off …faux bangs, pony’s and more are not going away.

Glossy faces!

Bright shiny glass like skin for the hair.

πŸ’… Nails are fresh and natural but also pointed and embellished and long!

Facial Masks reign supreme! ALL kinds of treatments, smell and feel amazing!

Celebrities weren’t the only ones on the Las Vegas Strip.

We were there and it felt so amazing!

Stay tuned for my next beauty adventure!

Ancient Beauty Secret

I am an all American girl that happens to be Eurasian and my husband says I am a Combination Platter off the Chinese Take Out Menu. People ALWAYS ask me what is my nationality. Even more when I moved from up North to sunny Florida. When I moved here for my husband I was so in love I forgave Florida for the HOT temperatures and the horrific humidity. But as time went by I came to the conclusion I hate the heat and my makeup melting. I also noticed brides and bridal parties hated it too. So, I pulled out my little box of love for my complexion and made them look amazing. This box is my makeup savior and go to. I have used it on my face since I was a teen and now on my clients for TV work, red carpet beauty moments, photo shoots and for my brides and bridal parties.

It is an Ancient Chinese secret handed down from generation to generation.

What is it?

A white looking brownie (yes like the Brownie we eat). It is a hard cake that becomes loose when applied with a powder brush.

Beautiful Benefits?

  • It is feather light powder that makes your makeup last longer.
  • Makes your colors remain true especially when you have issues with your makeup turning colors and helps them remain true.
  • Great for oily skin and complexions with a bit of acne
  • Tones down shine!
  • Sets your makeup!

But wait there’s MORE!

When I make up my face or a client’s face and I accidentally put a bit more blush on or eye shadow too overpowering or doesn’t look right….I simply take a brush, dip into my rice powder and clean up,soften and blend it out.

Oh and not only does it look great on brides and photographs nicely. It also is great for women of a certain age who get steamy and hot flash. Calms the heat and the powder cools the skin with a soft matte finish.

If  YOU or your client’s makeup is missing that little something or you crave all things Asian Beauty and or something new this is for YOU and to retail to your clients too!

I don’t think I could live without IT AND a gorgeous lipstick.

Palo Santo magic…

Candles and Palo Santo are my go to for so many reasons. Being it is πŸŽƒ Halloween I thought I’d share this aromatic wood with you!

Did you know Palo Santo is actually a tree native to the coast of South America. In Spanish it literally means “Holy Stick”.

It is used to clean and purify a space at work or your home or business. It also is good to do before you declutter and clean a space or room. And it does so much more!

I always recommend and say “Explore beyond your door.”

Buy some and search sites on all it has to offer.

Happy πŸ‘» Halloween πŸŽƒ!

Did you know?

It is breast cancer awareness month and I have some information to share with you. Not only do men get breast cancer too. But there is another type of breast cancer you can get too!
Do you remember when you had flawless baby skin? Isn’t this baby girl a doll? Do you remember how pretty your skin was too?
No marks, no spots no splotches?? Oh how I know many of you long for those days and that baby soft skin!

This used to be ME (minus THE tattoo) sunbathing 😎 in the summers in N.Y.C. Then I moved to Florida and sunbathed a bit more too.

UNTIL I got smarter. Sun smart to be exact.

I got squamous cell carcinoma and it wasn’t very beautiful or golden. I found a little brown raised spot ON my breast not in my breast. The Dr told me it isn’t very common. But common or rare I needed it gone.

I was terrified. Thousands of dollars $$$ in Drs. visits and a special surgery called Mohs to remove it at Mayo Clinic. It was a day I decided to never sunbathe again.

Tis the season of summer! πŸ–

IF YOU are wearing colors that are on trend your clients will want them too. Be on trend and offer retail therapy.

It is all about the eyes this summer.

Either a look like this or a wash of one color all over the lid like a light shimmering gold or nude beach shade. Add any color eye liner and a navy mascara to create and open up her eyes and take away a tired look.

And let’s not forget about those crisp, cool, clean and white hot hues! Like white or silver eyeshadow and accessories too!

NO Sunscreen…makes me want to scream!

Just a reminder…Our clients can never be told this enough. “PLEASE wear sunscreen.”Sunscreen beach 2014 photo.JPG

In the past few weeks I have seen all kinds of sunburns and skin damage from the sun. I feel for the people from children to adults. RED as a beet!

I so LOVE the sun shining and miss it on a cloudy day. BUT.

I really and truly have learned since I moved for my husband from NYC to Florida that it is dangerous living here as we live so close to those beating rays. Oh and I do enjoy a bit of time in the sun walking on the beach and anyhere else. But I respect my body too much to bake my skin and body like a dozen cookies on a oven tray!!!

So as a skin cancer melanoma survivor...Take the time to share your skin care and makeup secrets and put sunscreen at the top of the list. Also remind your clients to see the dermatologist once a year for skin checkups.

Like I’ve done…you could just save another life! Or two!
