Merry 🎄Christmas, Happy Chanukah 🕎 and …

Whatever you celebrate I wish you a beautiful day and holiday season.

I’m back and have a chance to breathe and slow down. Wow! What a whirlwind it has been on my end. It’s truly called “holidaze” for a reason.

I loved helping my clients shop for the holidays and to treat themselves and shop for someone else. I love ❤️ serving them a glass of bubbly or champagne and serve them some healthy yummy bites like Brie and vegetables, nuts and fruit. A few sweets on the side can’t hurt.

I also love to make them laugh and put a smile 😊 on their face! One idea I love to do when entertaining is this…

Looking for a few good men?

My clients and friends are too.

I love serving them gingerbread men on a silver platter. I brand I love ❤️ and is so delicious is from the Stauffer Biscuit Company I found at the Dollar General store. But I ’m sure other stores carry them. I am picky about the taste of my gingerbread men and brand.

Only the best for my clients and friends!

On display I place a sign that reads “ Looking for a few good men” next to the silver platter of gingerbread cookies. They get such a kick out of it. Sometimes the simplest things are the best!

I also like to make my home smell amazing with a tease of the scent of gingerbread. Since I’m not baking gingerbread cookies from scratch the house does not smell like them but you can make an Aromatic Holiday Elixir in your home by simmering a pot of this.

What you will need for this fragrant DIY is:

A few drops of gingerbread essential oil

1 small orange sliced

2 cinnamon sticks

1 sprinkle of nutmeg

Add to a small saucepan filled with water. Place on low heat. Simmer away.

Your home 🏡 will smell awesome and feel cozy too!

Serve some hot cocoa and you’re all set. Marshmallows on top of course and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar.

I hope you enjoy these ideas! All the decorations, twinkling lights, eat yummy things and have fun 🤩 with friends and family. Life isn’t quite the same anymore but we have so much to be grateful for!

Life happens!

Oh how I have missed YOU and blogging too! I know I’ve been “missing in action”. It is so unlike me not to post as I love sharing all things beauty, travel and foodie with you.

I have been traveling ✈️ for work and play. Puerto Rico, California, Palm Beach 🏝 Florida. Oh what glorious fun! When I work I always fit in time to enjoy a city and add a day or two of adventure and fun!

But with travel and a busy schedule comes a chance of getting a cold or worse. So I started to get symptoms of a cold. I went to the doctor right away to nip it! They gave me cough medicine and antibiotics. It’s wasn’t fun! But it wasn’t Covid or the flu that is going around.

After that came an unexpected late in the season hurricane in 🌴Florida! All whirling around while I was sick in bed.

I had to get back to work as soon as I could for Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday days at my beauty bungalow. So I did but then who knew? I’d be bit by three angry WASPS 🐝 three different days. My leg swelled like a killer whale. I was limping with laryngitis too as the upper respiratory infection wasn’t done with me too!

My husband loved that part! All I could do was squeak. So tough!

So you see I’ve really been through hell and back. I’m tired from all the medications and trying to work and keep it all together. I have to take care of my clients and their holiday shopping needs with my Beauty Elves at my business.

I do want to share some beauty & foodie recipes with you but I’ve got to work. I have not even begun Christmas & Chanukah shopping yet. How about you? Are you in a holidaze and going crazy right now too?

If you are… I hear you and am right there with you! Hang in there.

Life is kinda crazy these days!

Hasn’t it been for all of us?

I’m back from guest speaking in Las Vegas and all went beautifully. But I am STILL trying to recover from high temperatures, swollen ankles and the fun I had!

I got to unpack my bags this weekend and classroom supplies and enjoy a 4th of July with an intimate barbeque and yummy treats. I so appreciated the timing and safe return to have this long holiday weekend. After watching the news I am grateful I did not have any travel issues at two airports.

Yesterday I felt like whipping up a bath salt soak and I thought you might like to try to make this DIY too.

1 1/2 Tbsp. jojoba oil (as a carrier oil)

3-12 drops of lemon 🍋 essential oil (or grapefruit essential oil)

1 1/2 or 2 cups of Epsom salts

Use immediately or you must store in an airtight container. Will last safely a few days.

So refreshing and relaxing.

When life gives you a crazy schedule and you’re exhausted…

Take care of yourself with a 😎 Lemonade Lemon Bath 🛀 to soak in and just chill out!

Sip a glass of fresh lemonade or enjoy some Lemoncello. 🍋 and make your ME time bath even sweeter.

And don’t forget to add some mint to your drink or lemonade!

*Tweak this recipe as needed especially if you want to make more.

Note: if you are allergic to any of these ingredients don’t use them. Substitute for another ingredient.

Enjoy!

Don’t give it up!

Lately I’ve been seeing and hearing women say “I’m fat and sassy since Covid and not doing a thing.”

“Wearing yoga pants and don’t care to get dressed up anymore!”

“Not wearing lipstick, not wearing foundation and just gave it up!”

Some just say they are hiding behind a face mask 😷 saving money 💰 and proudly announced to me they’ve even stopped wearing 💄 lipstick!

These words just about KILL ME! Don’t stop wearing lipstick! Gloss or lip balm!

I know we’ve been on such a roller coaster in life since 2020 with Covid’s arrival. Every day and month unfolds a new adventure and not always a good one. A “shit show” in fact. Our lives have not been healthy and easy. But I think that’s the beauty of a lipstick, glowing skin, wearing fragrance, a pretty outfit and self-care!

I think we should ALL care. Get dolled up for work or play. Feel good about ourselves, love ourselves more. Take better care of our health. Enjoy life to its fullest.

The universe 🌎 needs you!!!

And it needs me too. Don’t give up. Put your best face and body forward. YOU deserve it.

AGE is just a number…

WOW!

Here is living proof!

Betty White our favorite darling American actress is turning 99 YEARS YOUNG today!

Photo by Ylanite Koppens on Pexels.com

What we have learned through the years from her is keeping a positive attitude, have a sense of humor, exercise your mind and enjoy life. Did you ever notice she seems to be always smiling and has such a pretty one too.

I also note in her many interviews and on TV she also has three favorites to living a long happy life (Alongside having good genes) is she loves a good cocktail (Vodka), Hot dogs and a good PB & J.

I know we all don’t get this and GIFT in life!

Although I once had a client named Rose who came to my beauty business until she was 103 years young! She told me she loved coming to me because I make her feel good, keep her cool and young following all the beauty trends!

CELEBRATE all the beautiful days of your life. ENJOY every day as if it was your last. Once this day (the gift of today) goes away we can never get it back.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY dear Betty White! America LOVES you.

Happy New Year …CELEBRATE!

Sorry I have been M.I.A. I have been wrapping up the year in my business, enjoying my husband’s family our bubble) and reflecting on what’s next for me. I thought I would be celebrating with a trip back to familiar places and see my families beautiful faces again. Or explore and travel to Poland like I was supposed to travel to this year in the spring. But Covid-19 had other plans for me! (And the world)

I have been working on my podcast to launch soon and trying to keep my husband and family safe and healthy! And just like you trying to keep going and get through this pandemic too.

So I’d like to wrap New Years Eve 2020 quickly and start fresh with a beautiful new clean slate. But first I want to make a toast to you!

Wishing you good health, love and a beautiful and an exciting new year. Thank you for reading my blog.

Our Bodies Need Some LOVE!

At times like these we need to take care of our immune system and body too. Since it is summer and we shed our clothes and show more skin we need to also slough off dead skin cells. As well as hydrate the skin on our face and body too. One of my clients shared this recipe with me a long time ago. And I recently discovered it in my pandemic cleaning purge of some paper work etc.

I almost forgot how much I like this recipe alongside eating a bowl of oats or granola with home-made yogurt and fruit in season. To make home-made from scratch yogurt I use Belle + Bella. They have an amazing starter packet and unit to make it. It is fun and when i have leftovers (right) instead of licking the spoon I use the fresh yogurt on my face for a gentle neck and face mask.

What you will need for this hand or body recipe:

1 cup of olive oil

1/2 cup of ground up organic oats

1 tbs. vanilla

1 tablespoon of maple syrup

She stirs  in all ingredients and suggests you take some time in the tub.

Place a handful of the mix onto your body. She recommends paying close attention to rough areas like, elbows, knees, hands and feet. Allow the scrub to rest on your skin. Next she recommends rubbing with warm water and a washcloth or a loofah sponge.

Rinse well.

After you get out of the tub. Dry your skin slightly and while damp apply your favorite hand and body lotion.

Your skin will feel soft and fresh you’ll feel brand new!

A moment in time…

How time flies going through a global pandemic. First you soak in the information you are told. It is hard to even believe what is happening. The days go by very slowly and seem so surreal. Oh the newness of it all. The new normal. Our stay in place at home becomes your way of life. We have even forgotten the day of the week.

The sun 🌞 still shines, the rain ☔️ still comes down and the birds 🐦 are happily singing away. Spring 🌺 has finally arrived for most of us and life keeps growing and going.

But somehow you know things are different now. While I do have my husband to keep me company in quarantine I do not have any children. But …I do have babies! They sit waiting for me in my business. My charming beauty cottage nestled on a quiet street in a neighborhood of homes and business offices.

My babies are the beauties on my shelves. Pretty things that make you look good, smell good and feel fabulous.

I have days at my studio to organize things, rearrange, answer telephone ☎️ calls and emails and to stock up on our shelves, pack up mail orders 📦 and to above all clean and disinfect even more for this COVID-19.

I worked so hard for what I have achieved and have come a long way. I am sure if you own a business or have and are devoted to a career you know what this feels like too.

I HOPE and pray my clients come back to shop and get dolled up with me. I yearn to pamper skin and paint faces. How about you? How’s your business life? Are you even able to open in your state?

But it will be different and with face coverings, masks and not my usual things. I so enjoyed serving blooming 🍵tea, gourmet coffee and something edible. Sweets or fresh fruit and veggies. But now…not sure. I loved hosting fun and yummy shopping 🛍 events. But for now none will be held. My lipstick red doors are closed. I am not officially open and am just shipping orders.

I MISS my clients faces and want to touch their hands and faces with my beauty magic wands and give them a GIGANTIC HUG.

But now I wait. Patiently to take the next step.
If you own a beauty business … How are you doing?

Getting ready for …Valentine’s Day

My favorite time of year!

I have a whole prop house full of ❤️ hearts and kisses 💋all ready for the season of love!

Time to decorate if you haven’t already begun in your home, office, spa or salon.

Got left over red ribbon? Curling ribbon? Red wrapping paper or other festive things from the Christmas holidays?

Bring them out and save some money 💵 by using up the rest of the trimmings or anything red decor. (Pink or metallics work well too)

Barter with a business or client or family member who bakes and serve some yummy cupcakes, pie, cakes or even chocolates.

I also like to do a chocolate love ❤️ tree. I bought a cone shaped styrofoam piece from Michaels and covered it with parchment paper. I bought a terracotta flower pot and filled it with foam and covered it in faux grass. Looks like a 🌱 and a tree. Got it?

Next I take chocolates from a box of nice chocolates. Stick a tooth pick into a chocolate and pop it in the cone tree.

I fill the entire space of that cone tree with chocolates. Over the Valentine season we put them out the week of and serve them and a cup of decadent coffee. After 5:00 or on a Saturday we offer Champagne 🍾 spritzers. Or serve them straight up.

We decorate the table with confetti’s, shimmering glitter or conversation hearts. Cheap and easy!

We prepare 3 bodacious giveaways!

And do a drawing on Valentine’s ❤️ Day! Clients love it. We also do a drawing for Galentine’s Day.

We also make our lipsticks 💄and lip treatment 💋products or services on special. Who doesn’t love a SALE?

And tis’ the season for KISSING? 💋💋💋 Right?

This is my jam!

I am getting things ready and packing for the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa conference. #IECSC #Flspashow

It is a month away and I always have a fabulous audience and time!

I also have some fave’ spots for food plus fun in the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area. 🌴 I’ll share them with you from Ft Lauderdale in case you have plans to visit this city. I also love Palm 🏖 Beach and will share my fave places for drinks, food and shopping!

My class for spa and beauty professionals is all about Color and the influence it has on our life and our clients faces and feelings. I am mad about color in decor, makeup, fashion and more! It  makes me so HAPPY!

I used to wear only brown and black. NO COLOR. As a NORTHERNER that is all I knew. New Yorker’s live in black. I love black as well.

If you’re a beauty professional like a makeup artist or spa owner your team will love my class. I’ll also share what’s trending, makeup techniques & color consults and what you should consider carrying in your business.
