Do you know … someone with Down Syndrome?

If you ever have seen these beautiful people and smiled and said “Hello!” You’d have a loyal and sweet friend!

People born with Downs Syndrome are kind, bright, loyal, funny, gifted and special.

Best part they are so LOVEABLE! 🥰 and want to be loved just like you and I.

Love ❤️ More!

Yes, they may look a little different but don’t we ALL? That’s the beauty in us in life! We all don’t look alike and or think alike.

What got me thinking about people born with Downs is yesterday not only was it it Halloween 🎃 it was also the last day of Downs Syndrome Awareness month.

Since Celebrating Halloween had to be put on hold due to Covid I found I truly missed the fun of it all. I delight when I see my neighborhood light up with smiling masked faces come my way! The kids so excited! Some come yearly and my have they grown! I love giving them all kinds of fun things! Not just candy.

I pulled out all my faux creepy candles, my basket of treats not tricks and a chair. I wore a sexy vampire mask with red lips 👄 and I had a friend by my side. A Chucky Doll. You know all the movies Chucky? My brothers favorite! He loves & lives spooky movies, Sci-Fi and Star Trek too!

It gave me comfort as I remember with my ❤️ heart this wonderful person in my life and best brother ever! Did I mention he was born with Downs? I know first hand what a joy it is to have a family member with Downs in our lives.

We were a bit poor but he made us rich. He taught us so much! He loved us unconditionally.

If you don’t know what Downs Syndrome is google it to learn more.

They are more than what meets the eye. Get to know them and open your eyes to ALL people. Not just colors of the peoples faces. People with disabilities or handicaps whatever you want to call it.

You might just make an awesome friend for life.

Welcome them in your life! Smile at them. Acknowledge them if you see them on the street, in church, on a plane or in a store. If you own a business and can …employ them.

As I write this I have tears in my eyes. It is so hard to even talk about him. I wish I could see his beautiful sweet face again and get one more hug from him!

Memories … I treasure them.

Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat smell my feet give me something good to eat.

WOW! What a year and Halloween day and night it will be this year.

I love Halloween. It is the one day we can REALLY get creative, express ourselves, be someone else for a day. I love this day from the decor to the candy and the Trick Or Treaters I adore! I also love spooky movies! How about you?

Fun Fact:

I have had the pleasure of making up the one and only actress Linda Blair from the Exorcist! No, she wasn’t spinning her head and spitting up green and it wasn’t for the movie. It was for an event she was attending. She has an awesome heart ❤️ and Is a lovely woman. I will never forget meeting her!

Unfortunately, it isn’t going to be quite the same this year. I am so missing my clients presence and our party atmosphere at my beauty studio.

I will miss serving them Pretty Witches Brew Punch and bewitching and spooky edible delights.

Here is an easy recipes for a snack that my clients have enjoyed at my studio and you can enjoy with family, friends and clients too.

What you will need for this recipe:

Rice Chex cereal

Banana chips

Dried chopped pineapples

Dried cherries

Semisweet chocolate chips

All you need to do is place the above in a large serving bowl and stir together.

I usually eyeball measurements if you want more or less of one item versus another.

What you get is a healthy fruity combination,a dose of chocolate with the right amount of crunch!

And if you don’t feel like making this recipe above you can simply enjoy some store bought candy.

I hope whatever you do today you have some FUN!

Life is really yummy and so beautiful!

Candy Corn Bark — NancyC

OMG! This is edible happiness!

IF you haven’t already get it done. It is time to really decorate for Halloween 🎃 in your business and or home. Every day is a reason to celebrate!

This D.I.Y. recipe looks not only fun to make but it also makes me so 😋 happy. They say we eat with our eyes first and I do believe our clients eyes and mouth are going to LOVE this. I think we will add this treat alongside our Witches Brew Cauldron Punch a potion for anti-aging this will also be a hit!

I also get a kick out of serving a REAL Trick or Treat bag. 👻 I love old school ways they did back in the day. We put a few free samples of some our new and cionicbeauty and skin care products. So every one leaves with something.

I’ve never made Candy Bark before but I sure am going to try. I think the friends, family and children will love it too!

I’ve made some quick and easy candy corn treats before, like Candy Corn “Pay Day” Mix, Candy Corn MM’s Crispy Treats, and Candy Corn Trail Mix. Here’s another super-easy candy corn recipe–Candy Corn Bark! Along with the candy corn, this bark also has mini M&M’s, pretzel twists, and dried cranberries in it. It’s a yummy, simple treat to […]
