There’s something about color. Color is therapy and with our daily intake of so much we need to chill and think the color blue. How about the beauty of the ocean 🌊 above? Isn’t it pretty and calming to your nerves and lovely to the eye?

Lower stress levels.

Decrease ❤️ heart rate .

Peaceful.

Makes us feel relaxed!

A few of my clients love my colorful door they decided to tweak their door color from aqua, another chose a vibrant royal blue, another a sky blue! They told me they love ❤️ the serene door hue and entry to their home or summer home so much.

Hello May!

I love the month of May! Depending where you live the weathers warming up a bit, the flowers are in bloom and spring really speaks to us.

Fruit and veggies arrive and we can enjoy the freshest ones in season.

It is also a time to remember to ADD even more sunscreen into our daily ritual. A shot glass filled is a great start. If you’re spending time outdoors or at the beach you’ll need to apply it even more.

It is SKIN Cancer Awareness month and this is a reminder don’t forget to wear sunscreen. SPF is the skin care secret for less wrinkled and to stop damaging your skin. The sun 🌞 can give you skin cancer in rain ☔️ or shine.

As a skin cancer SURVIVOR I urge you to do this! Not for me but for YOU and the health of your skin too.

My clients always ask me the secret to having younger looking skin?

Sunscreen, a good nights rest and not going to sleep with makeup on is at the top of my list answer.

My aromatic Spring Cleansing treat!

Have you ever tried doing a facial steam for your skin? It feels so good and leaves your skin refreshed and dewy!

My new favorite skin recipe is to use a small sprinkle a handful of lavender buds, chamomile flowers and rose petals. A little goes a long way. They infuse the water with a light scented facial steam and looks so pretty!

Make a recipe for yourself or you can share with your clients at your spa or beauty business. All you need to do is pick up a few flowers and herbs depending on what you are going to make. Just remember if you have acne, rosacea or sensitive skin issues you might want to skip this beauty recipe.

There are so many choices to make in your kitchen!!!

  • Then all you need is a clean face and a bowl of hot water that you boiled in a pot on the stove top and poured into a glass bowl.
  • I like to use a glass bowl that you can see through. It makes the experience even more delightful.
  • Next, toss a few herbs or flowers of your choice. What are you in the mood for today? * You might even want to try a drop of your favorite essential oil. Like lavender or rose oil.
  • Place your face over the bowl and place a tea towel over your head and not to close.
  • Allow the warm STEAM to rise and to your face.
  • Do this for at least 5 to 10 minutes or until the water cools.
  • Your face will sweat and be damp. A good sign! The dead skin,traces of old makeup and impurities will sweat out.
  • Wash your face with a lukewarm washcloth and follow with and use your fave facial toner or astringent.
  • Apply a few drops of moisturizer and eye cream.
  • Let me know how you like it and any recipes you come up with!

So escape and enjoy a few minutes just for you! My husband even loves to do this too.

How’s Life?

It seems as though we not only had quite a year in 2020 but we also are having quite a different 2021 than we planned. I think some people think that once the calendar changed to a sparkling new year filled with everything we hope for or want…our pandemic and daily lives would magically change kind of overnight. But it hasn’t really. The world 🌎 is still sick and people are feeling all kinds of emotions and feelings too. Me included.

I am really sad so many people are dying. BUT I am thrilled there is a vaccine and boy was that a miracle to come in the same year of the pandemic! We are so lucky!

And in these challenging times what I have come to realize is EVERY single day and minute in our lives is a GIFT. It is not just a nice thing to say. It is TRUE! If you’re reading my blog right now you MADE IT and you’re still here and alive.

So, at this time my heart is filled with GRATITUDE and I look to the light and have so much hope. If you are feeling blue you can do this too. Keep going. Stay positive. Keep the faith. We have got to live our lives not die inside.

Here are a few things that give me some happiness and I want to share them with you today. Maybe they will help you in some way.

Surround yourself with people you ❤️love. Extend your safe bubble of people by reaching out and calling to others. Reconnecting and chat on the phone with them. I’ve done it and it made me and the other people I’m calling feel so good too. People need to connect and stay connected.

Write a letter or create a card from scratch and mail it or hand it to someone you care about. Tell them they are loved. Share your day. See how they are.

I think every day should feel like Valentines day.

Fill your space with things to make you feel HAPPY or put a smile on your face. Check around your home and see what you might have before you go out shopping for something. I recently discovered something while cleaning my dining room hidden in a drawer under some cloth napkins. I ordered some gold flatware. I completely forgot about them. They are so gorgeous and chic. Why haven’t I used them in years? I shined them up and am putting them to use and enjoying these beauties. DAILY.

Strategically fill your space home or office with affirmations and words of wisdom. On your wall, on your desk, on a shelf at your bedside table.

SOAK your cares away! A bath is always a good idea! Or add a little something to your shower routine. Like a shower bath bomb. Or some new hair & body products.

Fill your bathroom with luxurious hydrating soaps. Nowadays there are so much to choose from. I like to buy soaps in all my travels. Especially internationally. So fun. Find some plush towels and washcloths. Switch up that same old decor. Give your bathroom a lift and hang a sign that you can find like “Hello Beautiful”. OR “It’s a Good Day to have a good day”.

Flowers and plants add SUNSHINE to your day and plants purify and can detox the air. So simple but gives you so much of a happy feeling. WAKE UP & SMELL the flowers!

I want to enjoy this view and sunset. I saw one almost as gorgeous as this in Colorado and it’s beauty and the colors are still etched in my memory. I pray for our lives and have hope we will enjoy life again.

We must wash our hands often, mask up,do our part in social distancing and above all practice patience!   What about you?
