Got Leftovers?

Tidying up the last signs of Christmas 🎄 in your house and the holiday season? Me too.

In fact some of my neighbors can’t let go and still have their Christmas trees lit up inside and decorations in their windows and outside their front door.

So if you happen to find you have left over CANDY CANES let me stir your imagination and let’s make and enjoy a few things.

It’s cold 🥶 outside even in sunny 😎 Florida. 🌴 . We have our fireplace going and I’m cozy in bed with a hot chocolate with a candy cane hanging from my 👄 mug with lips. I just took a bath and enjoyed this recipe below. I love the smell, taste and minty feel of peppermint in food and on my skin! Especially my feet after a long work day or a day of travel. ✈️ So I refresh my skin and exfoliate it gently a bit too. I use this peppermint recipe especially in the winter.

Peppermint Kiss Foot Scrub

What you will need is:

1 cup of cornmeal (I prefer the fine one)

1 cup of powdered milk

Approximately 15- 18 drops of peppermint oil. Not cooking or food grade but aromatherapy essential oil.

And add a dash of water and stir.

I fill smaller mason jars with the above mix.

OR I pour into mini snack size baggies to have individual portions.

Take a shower or bath or just wash your feet and pat them dry a bit.

Sit at the edge of the tub or on a chair in the bathroom.

Place down a bath mat or towel.

While skin is still damp apply this scrub and massage it in on each foot.

Then pay attention to the soles and calluses and dry areas of your skin. Massage in circular motions of your foot and work the scrub in.

This revitalizing foot 🦶 scrub smells dreamy and feels so invigorating on the feet

Leave scrub on your feet at least 5 more minutes and rinse well.

Your feet will feel brand new and your spirits will be too.

Who says you can’t enjoy and eat candy canes only during the holiday season?

Sandal season is here…

I featured on TV Friday a segment on DIY manicures & pedicures. The TV show viewers sent me a few requests to help them keep toe nail fungus away or to help with any future issues. Here is a pedicure that you can do at home. It seems as though I hear and see more fungus issues on the toes. Wether it is a little problem or big one here is an easy ecipe to try!

For some states spring is finally here! However for others you’re still getting snow. But no matter what sandal season and signs of spring into summer are here.

Get sandal 🩴 heels 👠 👞 and beach ready!

You’ll need to buy a few supplies:

Tea Tree essential oil (I love ❤️ Aura Cacia)

1 Basin of warm to a bit hot water 💦

1 Nail Scrub brush

1 teaspoon Clay mask powder

1 body lotion or foot cream

1 pair of white cotton socks

🍃First sprinkle about 5 drops of tea tree oil in a basin. Soak your feet in a water filled foot bath and wash them. Do this soak at least 15 minutes.

🍃Next, apply an exfoliating body scrub to your feet.

*If you don’t have one make one with white sugar and olive or sunflower oil. Be careful it will be a bit slippery.

🍃Next rinse well.

🍃Make a foot mask out of clay powder. Water and a few drops of tea tree oil. Mix in a bowl and apply mask to foot and mail bed. Leave this mask on and allow it to dry completely.

🍃Rinse your feet again. and apply your favorite body lotion.

🍃Dry your feet and apply a pair of white cotton socks and just chill or go to bed.

Wake up with happier feet!

🍃Tea Tree oil has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It speeds up the healing process. It really helps with its anti-fungal benefits to prevent foot and toe nail infections.

Your feet 🦶 will feel so refreshed and IF you have a problem with a nail fungus infection this treatment will work wonders.

If you have a severe problem on your nails on the hands and feet … it’s always best to see a doctor.

Keep your feet prettier, handsome and healthier!

They take you wherever you need to go.

Oh those winter feet!

Tonight I felt like giving my winter feet 🦶 a sweet treat. You can do it too. This recipe is easy to make and quick to do.

I made a DIY pretty aromatic orange 🍊 scrub with these simple ingredients:

1/2 cup of white sugar

1/2 cup of sunflower 🌻 oil

5 drops of orange essential oil

You’ll love 🧡 this skin softening elixir.

Mix the sugar and the oil together in a bowl. Lastly add the essential oil. If you don’t have the actual orange essential oil… A squeeze of an orange 🍊 can work for scent sake.

But the essential oil is best.

Apply on the heels and soles of the feet. Rubbing between the toes and on the toe nail bed.

Leave on 10 minutes or more. Rinse well with a luke warm wash cloth.

Then add your favorite hand and body lotion or foot cream.

Enjoy softer and exfoliated feet. Your tired and winter skin will appreciate the 🧡 love!

Exhausted …Did you shop till you dropped?

After the long Thanksgiving weekend it’s time to relax. Give yourself a soothing foot 🦶 bath for legs and feet! I worked away in my studio helping clients pick out the perfect gift 🎁 and reminded them to not forget themselves too.

I can tell. My feet and legs are exhausted. So. When time allows. Maybe you want to do this.

What you will need for this recipe:

6 Green tea bags

1 thick slice of fresh ginger peeled

2 drops of peppermint oil

A pot of water 💦 boiled.

Add the above ingredients into the pot. Like you’re making pasta but you’re not.

Let the ingredients mesh and dance together in the pot. Allow the water to cool a bit.

Place in a foot basin. Soak your feet and take a hand towel and dip it into the mixture. Wrap around the legs for about three minutes as well.9

The ginger adds some aromatic heat, the peppermint oil is very relaxing and invigorating at the same time. The green tea soothes tired skin. Do this at least 15mins. Or when water is cool.

Afterwards. Rinse. apply your favorite body lotion on your legs and feet. Rest your cares away. Get cozy in bed.

I love ❤️ to treat myself or my husband to this treat for the feet.

Foot 🦶 Facial at home!

I love helping my clients look and feel amazing! So, since a few of you have asked for another recipe for the feet… here goes!

Best of all it is a UNISEX treat!

All you have to do is put all these ingredients together and head to your bathroom or a cozy chair, the bathtub or an area you can get a little messy in until you rinse it away.

1/4 cup of oatmeal

1/4 cup of cornmeal

3 tablespoons of grape seed or sunflower 🌻 oil

2 tablespoons of Himalayan sea salt or brown sugar

Stir all of the above together. If it is too thick you can water it down with a few sprinkles of water 💦. Stir again.

Apply and rub mixture gently on clean feet. I like to go up to the ankles too. Pay attention to the heels as well.

Allow this DIY treat to set and be on the feet at least 15 minutes.

Rinse with lukewarm and wet towels or larger wash cloth.

The oatmeal softens, the oil gives you enough slip to move around the foot and lower part of the legs, corneal and salt exfoliate. Your feet and ankles will be nourished, hydrated and softer. It’s Self-Care Sunday!

Let’s try and make every day a self-care day. But if you can’t at least do one or two fabulous things for yourself on one day.

Sandal Weather…

Brings out the best and the worst of feet. Now in the midst of a pandemic some people are choosing to give their feet some TLC instead of going to the spa or nail salon.

A quick rescue I learned from one of my clients from Greece is made with olive oil. Yes, it’s good for making yummy dishes, dressings and salads in the kitchen but it also is wonderful for the skin.

🫒 Olive Oil has so many uses!

Place some olive oil in a saucepan on the stove. Or you can microwave some I guess. Warm on low until you see it is warm NOT so hot it will splatter or burn you. Next, turn off the stove and let it cool a bit.

Dive in the sauce pan with a small spoon and drizzle some of the olive oil on your feet. Start to massage it in and on your skin all over your feet, toes and nail bed.

Rub and enjoy.

Next, I like to place my feet with the olive oil in some cozy socks. My absolute favorite is a pair of white cotton socks. One size larger.

I pour myself a cozy yummy drink and get under the covers and go to sleep.

Wake up with softer happy satiny feet.

Kiss 💋 that dry and tired skin goodbye! Guys love this too! And kids do too.

Try this recipe for your feet 🦶!

Lime,Sugar and Coconut!

I feel like TRAVELING and enjoying life again… I want to go on a cruise! But since we can’t quite do that yet I thought I’d do the next best thing. Make a tropical hand and foot scrub.

Since I LOVE my clients. I am sharing this recipe with them and giving them some mini sample jars of this lovely scrub too.

If you own a business do you love to share recipes and beauty tips with your clients too?

Here is a simple recipe that is so easy to make yet gently exfoliates, brightens the skin and makes the skin so silky!

After all it is sandal season again.

1 mason or jam jar

I LOVE the way this feels on the skin and my heels will look amazing too.

It even refreshes a pedicure and manicure too. Give your hands and feet some love ❤️. Guys will love it too!

Simply apply a scoop of this tropical 🌴 delight on your freshly washed hands and rub in. Go in circular motions. Then rinse with a wet and warm hand towel after leaving on at least 10 minutes.

Next apply to your feet and repeat.

I find this scrub lasts at least a week. I put it in the fridge. I pull out of the fridge and allow it to warm with the room temperature. Feels so cool and refreshing when you apply it. Especially on a hot summer 🌞 day.

Your skin will glow and the natural ingredients make it even better!

Pretty Amazing Papaya Treatment!

I so loved shopping 🛍 and best of all exploring the street markets of fabulous Hong Kong. I love to not only kiss and makeup I also love to create fresh seasonal spa treatments. You can do these at home or in your beauty business.

I noticed a popular trend that is a really an ancient beauty ritual. Papaya soap to brighten and whiten the complexion and creams containing enzyme rich papaya too.

MADE FROM SCRATCH recipe came from me chatting it up with a few sweet senior ladies I came across. They say this easy recipe is skin polishing and brightening and they love to do it too. They like to use this on the hands, the feet or the body. They said MY skin will feel like a baby! They were right.

 What you will need is:

1 cup of pureed Papaya fruit

1/3 or 1/4 cup of coconut oil

1/3 of grapeseed oil ( I added this ingredient to the recipe)

1 cup of raw sugar

1 spray bottle of distilled water

Mix the fruit and oils together than slowly add the sugar  in a bowl.

  • Have the client lay on a plastic sheet. IF you are doing this treatment on her body drape her with a sheet to keep her cozy as you move along. But if you are doing hands and feet you will not need to drape or lay her down completely. Just do the hands and feet. I also used it on my decolette and loved the way my skin looked and felt.
  • Spray the part of the body you want to use it on with some room temperature water.
  • Apply the Papaya Polish and start to rub on the skin.A little goes a long way.

*If you need more sugar add it if you need more water spray on the body.If you need a bit more oil add a dash more and stir.

  • Rinse well with luke warm washcloth or if your spa has a shower have the client rinse  dead skin and her cares away! For another layer of a luxe treat apply a delicious hand and body lotion.

Sometimes I think fresh is truly the best!  EnJOY!
