# 1. Travel Tip

People ask me what is my favorite travel tip for trips for work or play?

I had to create a new one. As I love to fly on an airplane or a quick trip drive outside of the city.

Nowadays I am getting kinda tired of this pandemic and grow restless. At times I feel a bit claustrophobic with a face mask on. So, I make sure BEFORE I leave the house or get on the plane I prep to put on my face mask scented with my favorite essential oil (not craft oils) TRUE essential oils.

My go to brand is made by the company Aura Cacia.

1. First lay out your face mask on the table.

2. Next, I sprinkle on the sides of the mask a drop of lavender oil NOT on the mouth area or near the eyes. More toward the mid cheek area. Both sides.

3. Let the mask 😷 dry. Place mask in baggie and you are ready for anything. POSSIBLE unruly passenger ✈️ on the plane, maybe turbulence, feeling anxious? Or when I’m getting tired of wearing that mask. The aromatherapy 🍃 is quite comforting.

No, it doesn’t make your skin breakout or irritate your skin.

I’ve been offering these type travel tips with my clients at my makeup studio. Now I’m sharing with you. Hope you try it out on your next vacay or mini road trip.

STRESS less. Chill out, keep calm.

Enjoy!

PS

For the return flight ✈️ or trip I already packed and did the above. But this time I added a cotton ball in the baggie with essential oil sprinkled on it. It makes the fragrance last longer and infuses in the baggie. Ready for your return.

After my trip I throw out the disposable mask 😷 but if you are using your fave cloth mask. Travel with two and wash them when you get home.

Happy Travel!

Bronze state of mind…

As the country gets out, masks are coming off, a bit of our life is coming back more! We are wanting to get geared up for the holiday weekend and summer season to come. I already see here in steamy and hot Florida, we went from a few weeks of spring to actual full blown SUMMER temperatures. It isn’t easy looking and feeling fresh and pretty when you are sweating.

But the time is definitely right to go beyond face covers and face masks to a little bit of bronzer, gloss and lipstick.

I LOVE the sun 🌞 But I don’t BAKE in the sun. It isn’t worth it. I did it I know.

Here are a few of my basics on bronzers:

A little bronzer goes a long away and a little bit of makeup can make a big difference. Bronzer is the quickest, easiest way to give your face and skin a golden glow. SAFELY!

Cream Bronzers: Cream bronzers and products give a luminescense that you won’t get from a powder. They are wonderful for all skin types but normal to dry skin really loves it. Apply and blend it on cheekbones, temples and even add a dash on the eyelid or brow bone.

Powder Bronzers: Powder bronzers create a matte finish on the skin unless of course it is one with a touch of shimmer to it. If you find a shiny face is your faces usual mode. Choose matte over shimmer bronzers. Lightly blend with brush or fingers on the temples, cheeks and bridge of nose.

Gel or Bronze Oil Drops: These are somewhat newer and are the sheerest of formulas. They feel light and leave the skin dewy.Apply a small amount all over the face and neck for a subtle glow.

Please note: Some bronzers may be used on eyelids or on lips. Look for ones that are called multi-tasking sticks.

A word of beauty wisdom here!

You still need to use a sunscreen UNDER these products.

Wearing Bronzer does not protect you from a sunburn. It simply gives you a bronze golden glow.

Get Glowing! 🌟

Need a Lift?

These two (a lipstick and a blush) I think are a winning combination. They give us a pop 👄 of color and can lift our spirits and even change our mood. We all need a little boost now more than ever. Don’t we?

Pink in any shade gives us a healthy rosy glow!

Something nude, brown or wine just quite won’t do.

Moving forward together into the summer yes we will and should  be wearing face covers or masks. We do it to protect others and they protect us to stop the spread of the virus. But when you aren’t wearing a face mask at home or in your own backyard, enjoying your family or enjoying a burger on the grill…. A little color can go a LONG way. I hear from my clients, friends and on TV how people are in a bit of a limbo state and some are depressed. We need to take a moment, enjoy and address by the little things. Don’t give in and get depressed. Surround yourself with beauty while the world is having a moment. Color your attitude.

We need to be our own makeup artist whether in the beauty business or if you are the girl next door, mom or working girl…we owe it to ourselves to be pandemic pretty.

Make the world prettier again with a pretty state of mind and one tube of  lipstick and a swipe of blush at a time!

PS

They say wearing PINK can make you look up to ten years younger!
