Wanna Look Younger?

Here are a few easy ways you can update your look and achieve this:

I love foundation but … Go lightly! WET your makeup sponge with water or a Rosewater before you apply your foundation for a more “natural look”. Creamy formulas or a light mineral liquid foundation work best! If you like a powder foundation simply apply it with a kabuki powder brush instead of a sponge.

Invest in a good eyelash curler! It perks those lashes up and curls them too.

Using an eyelash curler is like a boob job for your lashes!

Go easy on your blush. Use a cream or gel formula. If you use a powder apply your blush with a fan brush.

Creamy formulas give you a more natural rosy healthy glow!

Choose mascara in rich navy, purple or green hues. If you must use brown instead. Black makes your eyes defined but can make your eyes look tired and appear smaller.

* I like to mix and match mascara on my 50 plus clients especially. Navy mixed with a coat of black is softer than a straight black hue. Deep purple on bottom lashes will make whites of the eyes brighter and under eyes fresh!

Play up your eyes with a bit of tinted mascara!

Don’t over tease or over spray your hair you’ll look outdated. Get haircuts on a regular basis. Nothing ages you faster than dry unkept hair. If you dare get a bob haircut or lighten up on the length of your locks.

Gloss those 👄 lips! After applying lipstick apply a dash of a shiny hydrating lip gloss in the center top and bottom of your lips.

Gloss on!

Nail polish 💅 in softer hues don’t need much maintenance or show chips easily. A pearl, champagne, silver, icy pink or blue will update you too!

Choose lighter or medium shades as they are more youthful looking! Your skin will look better too!

Keep up with your neck! We’re all getting a tech neck by looking down at our phones or hunching over a computer. It’s time to invest in a neck cream.

Happy, hydrated skin looks younger.

Keep smiling! 😎 Let people wonder what you’re up to!

Pack those bags!

Tea bags a natural quick fix!

People often complain to me about their eye 👁 bags. You know bags or baggage 🧳 under the eyes, puffy eyes, tired eyes.

So, besides using an eye product on a store shelf, another quick rescue is a tea 🍵 bag. Brewed tea bags work magic under the eyes. Squeeze the tea bag gently and place the almost room temperature tea bag on closed eyes. Not caffeine free. I love to use a green tea. Leave on under the eyes at least 12-15 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

If that doesn’t float your boat, there is always the “tried and true” fresh 🥒 cucumber! Cucumber slices really cool the skin down and help de-puff too.

Did you know potatoes 🥔 can assist with bags under the eyes and eyelids too?

Yes, a thin slice on each lid closed ( and top lid too) can have the same rescue too.

And of course there is always a bag of frozen peas and or frozen mixed veggies will do good and work too!

My clients love my recommendations that are easy to do and fresh from a tea farm and Mother Nature too! 🍃

Enjoy!

Bronze state of mind…

As the country gets out, masks are coming off, a bit of our life is coming back more! We are wanting to get geared up for the holiday weekend and summer season to come. I already see here in steamy and hot Florida, we went from a few weeks of spring to actual full blown SUMMER temperatures. It isn’t easy looking and feeling fresh and pretty when you are sweating.

But the time is definitely right to go beyond face covers and face masks to a little bit of bronzer, gloss and lipstick.

I LOVE the sun 🌞 But I don’t BAKE in the sun. It isn’t worth it. I did it I know.

Here are a few of my basics on bronzers:

A little bronzer goes a long away and a little bit of makeup can make a big difference. Bronzer is the quickest, easiest way to give your face and skin a golden glow. SAFELY!

Cream Bronzers: Cream bronzers and products give a luminescense that you won’t get from a powder. They are wonderful for all skin types but normal to dry skin really loves it. Apply and blend it on cheekbones, temples and even add a dash on the eyelid or brow bone.

Powder Bronzers: Powder bronzers create a matte finish on the skin unless of course it is one with a touch of shimmer to it. If you find a shiny face is your faces usual mode. Choose matte over shimmer bronzers. Lightly blend with brush or fingers on the temples, cheeks and bridge of nose.

Gel or Bronze Oil Drops: These are somewhat newer and are the sheerest of formulas. They feel light and leave the skin dewy.Apply a small amount all over the face and neck for a subtle glow.

Please note: Some bronzers may be used on eyelids or on lips. Look for ones that are called multi-tasking sticks.

A word of beauty wisdom here!

You still need to use a sunscreen UNDER these products.

Wearing Bronzer does not protect you from a sunburn. It simply gives you a bronze golden glow.

Tips for Tired Eyes!

Our eyes say so much about us and will scream TIRED in a hot minute. Here are a few ideas you can use to remedy them in a flash! I use them on myself, celebrity clients, mommies and on photo shoots.

Eye gel masks are instant face lifts for the eyes. They fit perfectly under your eyes and are drenched in hydrating puff relieving goodness.

Fresh 🥒 Cucumbers. Do they really work?

Yes they do! I not only use them by the slices on the entire eye area. I also like to freeze 🥶 or (refrigerate them) them. Next, allow them to thaw a moment and place to refresh the eyes for at least 20 minutes. They are a natural diuretic.

Another remedy for tired eyes is by using Denim Blue mascara. I like to use it alone or OVER a black or dark brown mascara. Makes the whites of the eyes appear brighter. And the dark circle under eyes say BYE BYE.

*Same is true for eyeliner. The darker the shade the smaller your eyes will look. Look for a denim blue, sienna brown or gray. Or try a brighter color for that unexpected pop of color.

A salmon, yellow or caramel concealer depending on your coloring will tone down those tired looking eyelids and under eyes. Say Hello to Brighter Eyes. Sometime our under eyes aren’t just the issue it is the eye lid too. Use tap and press motions to apply.

If you want definition but don’t want an actual pigmented mascara… try a simple CLEAR mascara. You’ll gently define the lashes. But no color.

If you have sensitive eyes and you have an allergic reaction to an eye shadow. Try a tiny scoop from a fresh aloe plant. Takes away itchiness and calms redness too.

*Did you know that purple, lilac and very bright pink eye shadows can cause allergic reactions?

Let a good nights sleep 😴 be your nighttime goal. Don’t burn yourself out pulling long nights out or not getting enough rest.
