Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat smell my feet give me something good to eat.

WOW! What a year and Halloween day and night it will be this year.

I love Halloween. It is the one day we can REALLY get creative, express ourselves, be someone else for a day. I love this day from the decor to the candy and the Trick Or Treaters I adore! I also love spooky movies! How about you?

Fun Fact:

I have had the pleasure of making up the one and only actress Linda Blair from the Exorcist! No, she wasn’t spinning her head and spitting up green and it wasn’t for the movie. It was for an event she was attending. She has an awesome heart ❤️ and Is a lovely woman. I will never forget meeting her!

Unfortunately, it isn’t going to be quite the same this year. I am so missing my clients presence and our party atmosphere at my beauty studio.

I will miss serving them Pretty Witches Brew Punch and bewitching and spooky edible delights.

Here is an easy recipes for a snack that my clients have enjoyed at my studio and you can enjoy with family, friends and clients too.

What you will need for this recipe:

Rice Chex cereal

Banana chips

Dried chopped pineapples

Dried cherries

Semisweet chocolate chips

All you need to do is place the above in a large serving bowl and stir together.

I usually eyeball measurements if you want more or less of one item versus another.

What you get is a healthy fruity combination,a dose of chocolate with the right amount of crunch!

And if you don’t feel like making this recipe above you can simply enjoy some store bought candy.

I hope whatever you do today you have some FUN!

Life is really yummy and so beautiful!

I remember the days…

When we served rose all day.

I miss seeing my clients in my makeup studio. I miss touching their faces! I miss giving them hugs too. Now with the pandemic things are so very different. I have NOT opened my beauty cottage YET. The Covid-19 numbers upticking here in Florida I don’t want to yet. I care about my clients safety and the health of my family.

I also remember the good old days when we would serve them all kinds of treats and drinks. From sugar cookies dipped in chocolate and lavender buds and chocolate dipped strawberries to sparkling drinks. Rose wine 🍷 was the last drink we served them in March.

Here is one of the recipes I enjoyed serving them. I thought you might enjoy this coming weekend. Or tonight!

Rose Sparkler with Raspberries and Lemons.

What you will need to make this refreshing drink:

1 bottle of chilled rose

1 1/2 pt. of fresh raspberries

2 tsp.of sugar

2 tbsp. of lemon juice

Sliced lemons and raspberries for embellishment!

Mash the raspberries with sugar and lemon juice in a pitcher. Top with sparkling rose. Serve over ice with the sliced lemons and raspberries.

Yummy 😋 Fiber Treats!

close up photo of raisins and dates
Photo by Naim Benjelloun on Pexels.com

I love to engage and entertain my clients and I like to also do it with food. These energy bites are just the thing and the recipe ingredients boosts with fiber too. A friend of mine who is a guest Chef on TV Danette shared this oh so easy recipe with me. I hope you enjoy it too.

1 1/4 cups raw almonds

1 /14 cups dates (pitted)

1 Tbsp honey ( maybe a bit more)

Pinch of salt

Grind almonds and dates in food processor until fine ( a little coarse is ok, too) add honey and salt.

Process until well combined. …it should be sticky enough to form a ball.

Press down in a 8×8 pan lined with foil. Make sure to press down hard, so it really holds together. Let sit approx 1 hour.  Pull foil out of pan, and cut into squares.

If it needs more honey to stick together, that is fine. You could use more dates in beginning if you like.

Enjoy for yourself between services with your clients, serving to your clients, family or friends. YUM!

Summer in a glass …

Are you looking for a lip 👄 smacking lemonade to quench your clients (friends and families) thirst and lips?

What I like to make is this

3 cups of squeezed 🍋 lemon juice (FRESH please)

1 cup of strawberries 🍓 slices OR raspberries mashed with a spoon or fork

1 1/2 cups of sugar

2 teaspoons of finely chopped fresh mint 🍃

Next add…

12 cups of water

Mix all of the above together in a pitcher making sure the sugar is stirred well.

Serve chilled or pour over ice.

Garnish with fresh mint leave.

Pretty & Yum!

Mother’s Day is almost here …

And your clients who visit your spa or salon need some love and attention. Don’t just just serve the same old coffee, tea and spa water.Think about serving up some delicious fun!

Need a little inspiration? Create a few cute names for a few drinks.

What about a Momtini, MOMosa,Glamma or Pretty in Pink beverage!

They can be alchoholic or nonalchoholic.

Rose all day,Champagne.Sparkling anyTHING. My clients love our champagne and orange juice offerings but they REALLY love our pomegranate or cranberry juice mixed with sparkling champagne. It makes such a pretty looking drink too and the juice is good for their health!

Add a piece of decadent chocolate and serve them on a silver tray with a white paper doilie from  the Dollar Tree!

You don’t always have to go overboard or spend alot of money when showing your cusotmers some unexpected appreciation and love. Sometimes the simplest of things are the best!

Please note:

NOT all of your spa guests are MOM’S. Make sure your staff or you are not wishing all your clients a happy Mother’s DAY. However, you can say today we are offering you an unexpected treat today. Because we think you’re pretty special!!!
