Need an energy lift?

When days are busy or long and you’re hungry and need a an energy boost… Try this! Working in beauty and wellness is glam but schedules can be crazy and hectic. At times theres no time to eat. I try to keep fruit on hand to eat. Bananas and fresh green apples fill you fast and hit the spot. Staying hydrated with 💦 water is another must.

But making a recipe like this shake keeping these supplies on hand help. This shake will get you through until you can eat a real meal. This is cocoa rich creamy and dreamy recipe!

What you will need to make this shake:

1 ripe banana

2 Tbsp of cocoa powder

2 Tbsp cashew butter

1 1/2 cups of milk (of your choice)

4 dates (pitted)

4 ice cubes

Place the above in a blender and blend until frothy and fabulous!

Pour into a pretty glass and take a “shake break”. Depending on the size of your glass this recipe makes a few servings.

* Please Note: if you prefer peanut butter. Use it instead. But if you’re a cashew girl or guy you’ll love the cashew butter.

Before the pandemic we would make smoothies and juicing at my makeup and skin studio for our clients.

A new recipe each month it was our treat and pleasure! My clients LOVED them. We served them in shot glasses and called them different fun names. Now we have had to stop serving them but share the recipes with them!

We MISS the good old days with our our clients!

Here is one of our popular recipes I thought you’d enjoy.

Golden Milk!

Have you tried it?

This aromatic spice filled cozy drink is a traditional drink with roots in India and must have in Ayurveda medicine. Like sipping a cup of hot tea it is so soothing and an anti-inflammatory. It will warm your body and spirit on a cold day! Or into the spring and summer it will bring you a healthier warm drink to add to your routine. Daily or weekly … enjoy sipping!

My clients are facing stress, digestive issues and more during these pandemic days and I shared this with them to help them feel a bit better. Some have tried this golden milky hued drink and liked it.

Here’s what you will need:

A smooth as silk cozy healthy drink.

1 and 1/2 cups of milk or other milk type milk you prefer

1/4 tsp of ground cinnamon

A sprinkle of black pepper

1 teaspoon of ground Turmeric

1/2 teaspoon of fresh ground ginger

If you want to sweeten you can add some organic local honey or even maple syrup will work well.

Add honey or maple syrup to sweeten!

Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a light boil. Lower the heat. Strain and pour in a cup. I like to use a hand held mini frother to make it more like a latte. Makes one cup.

Times are tough it’s is true. So make sure you take time for your health and YOU. Small simple things like this can make such a big difference. If this isn’t for you try making a delightful drink with Matcha green tea. Whatever you do please take care of one and only you!

Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat smell my feet give me something good to eat.

WOW! What a year and Halloween day and night it will be this year.

I love Halloween. It is the one day we can REALLY get creative, express ourselves, be someone else for a day. I love this day from the decor to the candy and the Trick Or Treaters I adore! I also love spooky movies! How about you?

Fun Fact:

I have had the pleasure of making up the one and only actress Linda Blair from the Exorcist! No, she wasn’t spinning her head and spitting up green and it wasn’t for the movie. It was for an event she was attending. She has an awesome heart ❤️ and Is a lovely woman. I will never forget meeting her!

Unfortunately, it isn’t going to be quite the same this year. I am so missing my clients presence and our party atmosphere at my beauty studio.

I will miss serving them Pretty Witches Brew Punch and bewitching and spooky edible delights.

Here is an easy recipes for a snack that my clients have enjoyed at my studio and you can enjoy with family, friends and clients too.

What you will need for this recipe:

Rice Chex cereal

Banana chips

Dried chopped pineapples

Dried cherries

Semisweet chocolate chips

All you need to do is place the above in a large serving bowl and stir together.

I usually eyeball measurements if you want more or less of one item versus another.

What you get is a healthy fruity combination,a dose of chocolate with the right amount of crunch!

And if you don’t feel like making this recipe above you can simply enjoy some store bought candy.

I hope whatever you do today you have some FUN!

I remember the days…

When we served rose all day.

I miss seeing my clients in my makeup studio. I miss touching their faces! I miss giving them hugs too. Now with the pandemic things are so very different. I have NOT opened my beauty cottage YET. The Covid-19 numbers upticking here in Florida I don’t want to yet. I care about my clients safety and the health of my family.

I also remember the good old days when we would serve them all kinds of treats and drinks. From sugar cookies dipped in chocolate and lavender buds and chocolate dipped strawberries to sparkling drinks. Rose wine 🍷 was the last drink we served them in March.

Here is one of the recipes I enjoyed serving them. I thought you might enjoy this coming weekend. Or tonight!

Yummy!

Yesterday I went grocery 🛒 shopping…we put it off and couldn’t wait any longer.

It it is a battleground out there for food and drink! I couldn’t find so many things and we paid a fortune for paper towels! $22.00 for six rolls 💴

I wanted coconut water 💦 but could not find any. So, I decided to make it at home. I was craving all things coconut, like a coconut granola mix, coconut 🥥 and açaí bowl and coconut water.

I also love the coconut chips from Trader Joe’s… they are delicious to snack on and remind me of my time spent in Hawaii.

I loved the quaint little stands in the roadside that sold them fresh and twisted from the
