Juicy!

It seems as though JUICY 🥤 is the “word of the day” at this time for our skin! Social media, magazines, celebrities and shopping channels tout it as something we need to attain. But I’m a bit confused.

I don’t know about you but I’m not sure why we want it. Nor how we get “juicy skin”

I love healthy looking pretty skin and enjoy the rituals for taking care of my skin. But coveting “juicy” is not one I necessarily want.

However I do love juicing and the fun pretty potions I can create and whip up in what I husband calls… “My Beauty Kitchen”

I make them with all kinds of fruits, veggies, and even herbs. So delicious! Whether I want something fruity, very veggie or for a burst of energy you can make some awesome drinks. Including something sweet!

This afternoon I made a yummy and bodacious …

I love the beauty & potassium from bananas!

“Banana 🍌 Split” … not what you may think. No ice cream and no cherry on top.

What you will need for this recipe:

2 fresh ripe bananas

1 1/2 cups of coconut milk

1 teaspoon of maple syrup or agave nectar

4-5 ice cubes, crushed

Place the above in a blender. Mix it until smooth, creamy and dreamy!

*Sprinkle coconut 🥥 flakes on top!

I’m crazy for coconut! 🥥

Add a mini drink umbrella & festive paper straw if you’d like.

Enjoy this cooling and refreshing milkshake like smoothie! Great for your sweetie or the whole family.

We’re headed into another long weekend! 🌴🌞So looking forward to chilling away. If your business is open maybe you can serve something refreshing. Or simply enjoy this recipe at home with your family. I so love to entertain CLIENTS.family and friends. I even wrote a book on it Entertaining in your Salon or SPA.

Strawberry Mango Lemonade

Blend and give it a whirl with 1 cup of  frozen strawberries, 2 cups of frozen mango chunks and 2 cups of lemonade that you made.Or cheat and use store bought already made.

This recipe makes 4 glasses of refreshing and delicious lemonade. More if you use smaller glasses.

Garnish with a pineapple chunk for a tropical twist. Since we can’t quite getaway at least we can pretend we are with a few of life’s simple treasures.

Stay hydrated!

Pumpkin Pretty D.I.Y.

An you feel the almost arrival of fall?

My husband says “I kiss better than I cook” 😁 But I so enjoy entertaining, cooking and makeup! I also love this time of year and all the decor and recipes to celebrate fall.

Today I went to the store and discovered a potpourri of pumpkins 🎃 and more.

So to celebrate 🎊 this time of year here is a recipe to do for YOU and or on your clients too! You’ll be tempted to eat it but don’t. The room will smell divine while and after making this facial treat.

Pretty Pumpkin Pie 🎃 facial mask

What you will need:

1 can of pumpkin pie filling

1 teaspoon of honey

1 sprinkle of nutmeg

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Stir in all of the above in a bowl. What you will have is a creamy and dreamy gentle natural exfoliation mask. No harsh chemicals. I find even my clients with sensitive skin love to use this and have no issues.

You may use fresh pumpkin but I love using the can in a pinch!

*But please do a patch test on the inside of your arm near your wrist or a section of your face to see if you have a slight reaction. If you have allergies to these ingredients don’t use this D.I.Y.

I like to leave this on at least 10 minutes. Rinse with luke warm water and a washcloth. Afterwards use your facial toner and moisturizer.

Place remains in a small jam or condiments jar you recycled and you can use it again in a few days.

Sip a cold glass of fresh apple 🍎 cider and you’ll make the day even more delicious.

Enjoy!
