If you have good health…

Count yourself lucky and blessed.

I once got a fortune cookie 🥠 after a meal at a Chinese restaurant. It read “He who has good health is rich” . I never forgot that.

So, I wrote this one day while traveling home on an airplane. Maybe it will be a healthier and beautiful reminder to you.

H is for honesty. Be true to who you are. Don’t try to be someone else. Learn to LOVE yourself.

E is for everyday. Every single day is a 🎁 gift! Embrace ALL it has to offer.

A is for attitude. You are in control of your thoughts, emotions and most of all attitude.

H is for HAPPY! Be happy with what you have! Life isn’t about accumulating things and wearing designer clothes. It’s about actually living your life and making memories!

L is for LOVE ❤️ it a a feeling that keeps us alive. Try and stay young at heart no matter what your age. Do everything you can to keep your heart and mind healthy.

This month is mental health awareness month. There is so much going on right now. So sad. But we owe it to ourselves to try and stay on the other side. Keep lifting up. And lift up others too.

We have so much to be grateful for.

Don’t we?

Jump up for joy! So much beauty in our lives!

Exhausted …Did you shop till you dropped?

After the long Thanksgiving weekend it’s time to relax. Give yourself a soothing foot 🦶 bath for legs and feet! I worked away in my studio helping clients pick out the perfect gift 🎁 and reminded them to not forget themselves too.

I can tell. My feet and legs are exhausted. So. When time allows. Maybe you want to do this.

What you will need for this recipe:

6 Green tea bags

1 thick slice of fresh ginger peeled

2 drops of peppermint oil

A pot of water 💦 boiled.

Add the above ingredients into the pot. Like you’re making pasta but you’re not.

Let the ingredients mesh and dance together in the pot. Allow the water to cool a bit.

Place in a foot basin. Soak your feet and take a hand towel and dip it into the mixture. Wrap around the legs for about three minutes as well.9

The ginger adds some aromatic heat, the peppermint oil is very relaxing and invigorating at the same time. The green tea soothes tired skin. Do this at least 15mins. Or when water is cool.

Afterwards. Rinse. apply your favorite body lotion on your legs and feet. Rest your cares away. Get cozy in bed.

I love ❤️ to treat myself or my husband to this treat for the feet.

Love your body and skin with this!

Body, Mind and Spirit

The pandemic, death, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanoes, violent protests, deaths and murder hornets and lots of emotions like hate… just a bit of what we’ve all seen, felt and been going through this year.

We’ve got a lot going on in our world 🌎 right now! 2020 is throwing ALL it can at us.

With that said …

Can you say you’re not stressed, frustrated or uneasy?

I notice my clients at my beauty cottage are feeling hopeless. When they place there orders for curbside pickup they seem so blue. I see it in their eyes. And feel the vibe too. But I try and encourage them. I want to do the same for you too. There is ALWAYS hope. We must remember to take care of our body, mind and spirit.

No matter what is flying our way.

Enjoy nice walks in the park or in your neighborhood more. Not only is it good for you as exercise it can help you clear your head. Especially at the end of the day.

Eat better and be well!

Keep your mind as clear as you can from negative thoughts and stop being so hard on yourself!

Clear your mind, space in your home or office with A bundle of sage is an ancient ritual that continues to make a comeback to helps us in our spiritual journey. They can really make you feel good. Makes you feel calm. Helps with purification and good intentions and clears negativity. If you’re not into that light candles. Reflecting on the beauty of that flickering light.

Keep your spirit going.

Whatever you or whoever you believe in hold your head up high and look up to the sky for guidance. Take time for some form of prayer 🙏 and time for SOUL food.

Just remember this…

The world is better with YOU in it!~ were all in this together.

So hang in there. I am too!

Our Bodies Need Some LOVE!

At times like these we need to take care of our immune system and body too. Since it is summer and we shed our clothes and show more skin we need to also slough off dead skin cells. As well as hydrate the skin on our face and body too. One of my clients shared this recipe with me a long time ago. And I recently discovered it in my pandemic cleaning purge of some paper work etc.

I almost forgot how much I like this recipe alongside eating a bowl of oats or granola with home-made yogurt and fruit in season. To make home-made from scratch yogurt I use Belle + Bella. They have an amazing starter packet and unit to make it. It is fun and when i have leftovers (right) instead of licking the spoon I use the fresh yogurt on my face for a gentle neck and face mask.

Yummy!

Yesterday I went grocery 🛒 shopping…we put it off and couldn’t wait any longer.

It it is a battleground out there for food and drink! I couldn’t find so many things and we paid a fortune for paper towels! $22.00 for six rolls 💴

I wanted coconut water 💦 but could not find any. So, I decided to make it at home. I was craving all things coconut, like a coconut granola mix, coconut 🥥 and açaí bowl and coconut water.

I also love the coconut chips from Trader Joe’s… they are delicious to snack on and remind me of my time spent in Hawaii.

I loved the quaint little stands in the roadside that sold them fresh and twisted from the

2 Teaspoons of Thai lite Coconut 🥥 Milk

22 oz. of bottled water (Not tap)

A healthy DIY and hydration ritual you’ll so enjoy!

Add ice to a pretty tall glass of it and maybe float a cherry 🍒 on top and enjoy!

Have you heard about?

There are so many exciting things happening in beauty and new brands emerging into the US.

The latest one is Cure Natural Aqua gel from Japan. It is the most amazing and gentle skin exfoliant I have ever found or used. It is not just for the face but the entire body. I love the results on the tops of my hands too. My clients love it and my husband is even using it too.

The company says “Skin ages and varies from country to country and this is due to the differences in climate and humidity between locations. The best thing for your skin is to keep it moisturized and to prevent dehydration.
If you normally use just lotion without toner, we strongly recommend that you make a new discovery.” I so agree.

To get started:

Wash the face as you normally would. Dry off completely.

Benefits:

Anti-Aging, brightening skin tone and smooths the skin.
Brighten effect has been proved by Japan’s biggest health magazine.
Awarded “Skincare Brand of the Year” by World Branding Awards.

NO FRAGRANCE ● NO COLORING ● NO PRESERVATIVE

How it Works:
Natural Aqua Gel gently catches dead skin cells on the surface of the skin and removes them without using strong acids. It helps skin metabolism function better.
There is no need to rub or scrub your skin hard and you will be surprised at how smooth your skin has become.

Beneficial effects of gel should last approximately 3 to 4 months if used properly once or twice a week.

How to use it:

Wash your face as you normally would. Dry off completely.

Pump the nozzle 3 to 5 times to obtain the appropriate amount of gel onto your fingertips and apply to the desired area. Leave on skin for a few moments allowing Cure to react with the dead skin cells.

Gently massage in circular motion for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Do not rub too hard. The gel will turn in to a milky white color, and beads of dead skin cells can be seen as they are lifted off the skin.

Rinse well with water and then continue and follow with your regular skincare routine and or facial.

For best results, I like to use Cure Natural Aqua Gel twice a week.

Once a thin layer of dried skin is removed, it allows the other skincare products that you use daily to work.

Cure Natural gel is my new go to! It is so worth looking into.

And it doesn’t cost a fortune.

Pretty Amazing Papaya Treatment!

I so loved shopping 🛍 and best of all exploring the street markets of fabulous Hong Kong. I love to not only kiss and makeup I also love to create fresh seasonal spa treatments. You can do these at home or in your beauty business.

I noticed a popular trend that is a really an ancient beauty ritual. Papaya soap to brighten and whiten the complexion and creams containing enzyme rich papaya too.

MADE FROM SCRATCH recipe came from me chatting it up with a few sweet senior ladies I came across. They say this easy recipe is skin polishing and brightening and they love to do it too. They like to use this on the hands, the feet or the body. They said MY skin will feel like a baby! They were right.

 What you will need is:

1 cup of pureed Papaya fruit

1/3 or 1/4 cup of coconut oil

1/3 of grapeseed oil ( I added this ingredient to the recipe)

1 cup of raw sugar

1 spray bottle of distilled water

Mix the fruit and oils together than slowly add the sugar  in a bowl.

  • Have the client lay on a plastic sheet. IF you are doing this treatment on her body drape her with a sheet to keep her cozy as you move along. But if you are doing hands and feet you will not need to drape or lay her down completely. Just do the hands and feet. I also used it on my decolette and loved the way my skin looked and felt.
  • Spray the part of the body you want to use it on with some room temperature water.
  • Apply the Papaya Polish and start to rub on the skin.A little goes a long way.

*If you need more sugar add it if you need more water spray on the body.If you need a bit more oil add a dash more and stir.

  • Rinse well with luke warm washcloth or if your spa has a shower have the client rinse  dead skin and her cares away! For another layer of a luxe treat apply a delicious hand and body lotion.

Sometimes I think fresh is truly the best!  EnJOY!
