As you connect with friends and family this Thanksgiving…I hope you welcome them to your door with a big smile, a warm hug and a blank piece of paper and a pen. The piece of paper is for them to write down what they are thankful for. Place all of the paper pieces from the guests and family in a pretty bowl or basket.
When the time is right and things have calmed down but before the evening is over. Allow someone to read what they wrote on the piece of paper or unique shaped piece. Like the bird shaped, pumpkin shaped or a beautiful red paper heart.
I wish I thought to do this lovely idea years ago.
Makes people aware of all they have to be grateful for…especially in the midst of these pandemic times. Some may not even realize how much they really have. Abs that maybe things aren’t as bad as it seems in their lives.
Have you ever tried this idea? I like to do this with some of my favorite clients in my business too.
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. I want you to know I appreciate your following my beauty and lifestyle blog. I am thankful for the likes and for the kind comments. I am ever grateful that you like the words from my 🧡 heart to yours!
I love fruits and veggies! Over the years I not only served up some delicious treats for my family. I started to serve my clients fresh juice potions for their skin and health. So today I am sharing one of those recipes with you!
My Cantaloupe 🍈 Crush!
All you need for this drink recipe is:
4 cups of chilled fresh cantaloupe
1 cup of cool 🍋 Lemon juice
1 tbsp. Local 🍯 honey
1 tiny piece of peeled ginger or grated ginger
I serve the juice in pretty glasses or in mini shot glasses.
😎If you want to make it a little tropical 🌴 or you’re entertaining at home. Add 1/4 cup of good rum.
Place cubes and cantaloupe, lemon juice, honey and ginger in a blender.
Yesterday I went grocery 🛒 shopping…we put it off and couldn’t wait any longer.
It it is a battleground out there for food and drink! I couldn’t find so many things and we paid a fortune for paper towels! $22.00 for six rolls 💴
I wanted coconut water 💦 but could not find any. So, I decided to make it at home. I was craving all things coconut, like a coconut granola mix, coconut 🥥 and açaí bowl and coconut water.
I also love the coconut chips from Trader Joe’s… they are delicious to snack on and remind me of my time spent in Hawaii.
I loved the quaint little stands in the roadside that sold them fresh and twisted from the
2 Teaspoons of Thai lite Coconut 🥥 Milk
22 oz. of bottled water (Not tap)
A healthy DIY and hydration ritual you’ll so enjoy!
Add ice to a pretty tall glass of it and maybe float a cherry 🍒 on top and enjoy!

Caring IS sharing…and I simply had to share this post since I LOVE to entertain my clients as well as my family and friends. This bloggers post is giving me all the yummy feels. I have done Bloody Mary Shots & Quiche,Cocktails,Cosmetics and Cupcakes events I am inspired to host my next event with foodie inspiration with one of these boards with an a la Noreen twist. Enjoy the view!
Hi, I didn’t have brunch today and I desperately wanted to, so after spending half my morning scrolling through brunch-related hashtags on Instagram, I’m here to bring some brunch board ideas to your attention. What’s a brunch board, you ask? It’s more or less a platter of heaven—aka, a charcuterie-board-like spread of breakfast foods. Seriously, what…
I have a whole prop house full of ❤️ hearts and kisses 💋all ready for the season of love!
Time to decorate if you haven’t already begun in your home, office, spa or salon.
Got left over red ribbon? Curling ribbon? Red wrapping paper or other festive things from the Christmas holidays?
Bring them out and save some money 💵 by using up the rest of the trimmings or anything red decor. (Pink or metallics work well too)
Barter with a business or client or family member who bakes and serve some yummy cupcakes, pie, cakes or even chocolates.
I also like to do a chocolate love ❤️ tree. I bought a cone shaped styrofoam piece from Michaels and covered it with parchment paper. I bought a terracotta flower pot and filled it with foam and covered it in faux grass. Looks like a 🌱 and a tree. Got it?
Next I take chocolates from a box of nice chocolates. Stick a tooth pick into a chocolate and pop it in the cone tree.
I fill the entire space of that cone tree with chocolates. Over the Valentine season we put them out the week of and serve them and a cup of decadent coffee. After 5:00 or on a Saturday we offer Champagne 🍾 spritzers. Or serve them straight up.
We decorate the table with confetti’s, shimmering glitter or conversation hearts. Cheap and easy!
We prepare 3 bodacious giveaways!
And do a drawing on Valentine’s ❤️ Day! Clients love it. We also do a drawing for Galentine’s Day.
We also make our lipsticks 💄and lip treatment 💋products or services onspecial.Who doesn’t love a SALE?
My husband bought me not one but two lemon trees 🌳 a few months ago. I am enjoying my life with lemons so much! One tree is outside my business door and another is in my backyard.
So, I get creative and make things!
I usually kill plants cause I work so much in and out of town. But I am on a roll with aloe plants and lemon trees. They are not only surviving they are thriving!!!
One of the things I have made is a Lemon Facial Toner.
If you want to make some for yourself or your clients here is a recipe.
What you will need is:
2 fresh lemons (lemon peels only)
1 cup of bottled water
Place lemon peels in a pitcher. I prefer using a small glass one.
Add the water.
Cover and leave this mixture alone for at least 10 hours or overnight.
Strain the liquid through a coffee filter and pour into a clean and sterilized bottle. This refreshing toner will last up to two weeks.
Apply to your face with a flat cotton pad round.
Don’t use on acne or rosacea. Just to be on the age side.
Next up…Sparkling lemon water!
You don’t need to buy the lemon flavored sparkling water. You simply need sparkling water 💦 that you added lemon 🍋 slices too! So delightful and really quenches the thirst.
Serve in a wine goblet or antique shop glassware. Feel like royalty. My clients and family love this! And a fresh mint 🍃 leaf for decor.
Have you gone down the candy aisle or shopped at one of Ralph Lauren’s daughter’s candy stores?
Candy canes are having a major moment right now. They come in so many hues and are so fun when used in a variety of delicious and decorative ways.
They come in so many colors and styles these days. I love to serve them to guests with milk, hot cocoa and crush them and sprinkle on top of cheesecake, cupcakes and more. I also enjoy serving my clients Candy Cane Lane hot Tea with a tiny candy cane hanging from inside the cup.

They seem to make people of all ages smile around this time of year especially.
One of my fave ways to keep it fun at my makeup studio is by making some special clients a fresh home-made lip treat. Peppermint candy canes work well and taste refreshing. But I am also over the moon with the other flavors and colors available today.
All you need for my recipe is…
1 fresh jar of organic coconut oil (not used from your kitchen pantry)
A candy cane of your choice.
Using a kitchen mallot I crush the canes into tiny pieces but a few mini chunks work well and are visually appealing.
I then place a soup spoon (or fill with a 1/4 cup) of the coconut oil and place it in a microwave-safe small bowl. The amount of coconut oil depends on how much you want to make)
I sprinkle in a few pieces of the crushed candy cane.
I microwave for 50 seconds or less. I eyeball it. (Yes, you can do this on the stovetop but I like it this way too)
IF you want to have a peppermint kick add a dash of food-grade peppermint oil.
Next, I take this mixture out of the microwave, stir a bit and let it cool very quickly and then place some of it in a small container. You will have leftovers depending on the size jar you use.
What you will have is a cool to the tongue and refreshing lipgloss or lip balm that is not only fun to make but this recipe is so EASY to do.
The shelf life isn’t months but more like a week or so but the feeling on dry winter lips and skin-softening will make you want to use it daily! Treat yourselfor someone else this holiday season and keep those lips soft and kissable this cold winter!
Sometimes the best gifts are home-made and made with love!!! Don’t you agree?
