Beauty Hacks to Save $ & …

I featured on TV here in sunny Florida…some beauty hacks this time with an Earth 🌏 month twist and money saving too$

Here we go!

Down to the end of your facial potions, body lotions, hair products, bath and shower gel, arthritis gel or toothpaste tube?

Think again there’s still a lot left in that tube!!! Really! I always keep a pair of scissors in my bathroom or studio and you’ll want to do this too.

Simply squeeze the tube and cut it in half all across. What you will have is a few days, a few weeks worth or even longer of product to dive in and still use.

Love a brush from a mascara or brow gel you purchased but didn’t love that mascara or brow gel ?

Save it and rinse it well with soap and water. Reuse the brush to apply a mascara you love or tinted brow gel you like more.

Or to tame those unruly brows.

Broke a makeup compact, face bronzer, powder blush or powder eyeshadow?

Pick up the product off the floor or your makeup bag and savor the rest of the product. DON’T throw it all out. I always keep empty jars on hand in different sizes. Then all you need is to apply them with a makeup brush. Pressed product formulas becomes loose. Still good!

Dropped or broke an Asian facial roller or eye roller on the floor?

Scoop up and throw away the broken pieces and salvage the roller if you can. Smooth out the bottom where it broke at the handle with a nail file or sandpaper so it’s not rough on your hand. Keep rolling on. Enjoy!

Run don’t walk with this tip the after Easter sales are waiting for you! Not only for your favorite Easter candies, but shop for the plastic Easter eggs! On SALE! Last year I snatched up a dozen colorful eggs for .17 cents a package.

You know what I use them for?
I use them to hold my washed and clean beauty blending sponges. Works for travel and for your cosmetic bag depending on the size of your bag. Don’t buy an expensive holder. Try this! I’ve even turned on my makeup artist friends to this trick. Works like a charm!

Down to the end of a liquid foundation? Brow gel? Mascara? Or blemish potion? Add a dash of distilled or spring water to them. Not tap water! Doing this will give life to your product until you can replenish those products.

I sometimes use those facial makeup wipes in a pinch or sometimes use them when I travel. They are not really great for the planet 🌍 or your skin but if you like to use them… enjoy this tip!

I cut them in half and the package of towelettes lasts me even longer and saves $ money too.

It’s good to love ❤️ our Mother Earth and to repurpose, recycle and reuse. Use them to the last drop! Don’t waste! Enjoy them.

Beauty Tips We Makeup Artists LOVE!

Want more lush lashes without looking like OVER THE TOP Bambi lashes?

Try a dash of baby powder on a disposable mascara wand. Wait a minute and apply any brand mascara.

Want a shimmer lipstick to turn into a matte lipstick?

The secret is a dash of face powder on your lips applied carefully over your shimmer lipstick.

Want to tone down shine but not look like you have a cake face on?

Rice powder is the answer. Totally translucent. Sheer.Lovely. Use it alone over a no foundation face. Use over any brand foundation even over a powder foundation.

Want that sexy magazine cover pout in seconds?

A really shiny brand gloss is the answer. And apply it in the center of your lips and a bit outward but NOT all the way for mega shine and sexiness.

Want a mascara that won’t run down your eyes and face when you cry at your best friends wedding or on hot summer days?

Try the brand called Blinc. It tubes the lashes not paints them with pigment…AMAZE…ing ! It works.

Want to feel fresh as a summer rose in a few minutes?

Rosewater spray is an old Victorian secret the porcelain skinned ladies would use. It can be used on a flat cotton pad and applied on a clean face pre-makeup or after you remove your makeup at night time. It is a toner for the skin and much gentler than using an astringent. Smells amazing feels so refreshing.

I hope you enjoyed these tips and you’ll explore more that I share with you. I love being a makeup artist I get to make people look good and feel it too! How about you?
