What are you doing for your face and body today?
We like to do herbal and floral infusions facial steaming in my beauty business. One of our favorites is to use fresh lemongrass from an Asian grocery store or farmers market. Our clients love ❤️ our recipes that we share and that they can do in the kitchen of their home.

All you need is:
A stalk of Lemongrass
A pot of water 💦
In a large pot ( like your making pasta) bring at least two quarts of water to a boil.
Add a few cut pieces of the lemongrass to the hot water.
Remove pot from heat.
Stir the lemongrass and water mix.
Allow to cool a few minutes.
Pour the water into into a glass bowl.
Get a large hand towel or bath towel.
Pull up a comfy chair and sit.
Drape the towel over your head. Allow the steam to rise to your face. Make a tent over your head.
*Please note:
If you get hot and need some fresh air pull back the towel. Get that fresh air and cool off a bit.
Lean over and allow the steam to rise to your face. Be careful and bear in mind you will get a bit hot and steamy.

Do this facial steam for at least 5 minutes.
The scent of the lemongrass will be refreshing and aromatic. Lemongrass is Known to cone from Asia and Africa. People use it for delicious culinary use. It also has medicinal benefits. We like it to season our soup, make a tea but for this DIY we like it for its aromatic properties for the steam.
After you are done… rinse your face with Luke warm water and a face wash. Add a dash of moisturizer and your skin will feel great and the steam will have gently loosened up dead skin and you’ll have happy happy cleaner pores.
